Maybe. Although I'm not sure 25 minutes against Cardiff Reserves is going to offer that much reassurance.

I do think we are weaker for wingers on both sides compared to last season. At the moment if Adarma isn’t up to it at PL level, we only have SAA as a right sided winger. If we move BBD to the middle we only have Edozie. You need options in the PL too and we arguably don’t have the quality or depth on either wing at the moment. Could see us bringing in a PL loan on the right and eventually Fraser on a free on the left.

That he actually can still run about is what I meant. Not about level of performance or anything like that. Or maybe it’s a view to reintegrating him as there are no offers at this time. Puts us in a tricky spot regarding CBs though

If Adarma isn’t up to it at premier league level then SAA most definitely isn’t either. And that former statement remains to be seen as he’s mostly been played as a striker (or from the left) in previous attempts in the premier league

You’ve forgotten / written off Sulemana from the left wing. I don’t think we are going to be able to get rid of him this window so he’ll still be around. Not sure what his injury is

I hope you are right on both sides. If it is Fraser it will be the daftest thing. What would have been the point of Newcastle holding on to him all summer and still paying him. But we shall see

I don’t think SAA is ready for significant minutes in the PL either no. Adarma I don’t have great hopes for but I think we’ll persist with him, but for sure we need another option there.

Sulemana I’ve written off, Edozie looked far better than him in the championship and Edozie is looking like he’s not ready for the PL and needs a season of consistent minutes down a division.

Agree 100%. Edozie isn’t up to it. I dont think arma is at this level either, at least not for 90 mins… which means attacking options are now our big weakness (if we get Ramsdale over the line)

Shame Sulemana has been injured. Would have been good to try and get some money in and replace him.
Still think we will be active right up until the window closes
