Should you be able to remove an unwanted parasite? Yes. It's the mother's body and no-one else's. She can do with it as she likes, as far as I'm concerned, not that I'm saying it's right for anyone to get into that flange-hoover predicament.

I am not an abortionist as I don't abort foetuses, but I'm all for the freedom of choice, a baby afterall is a responsibility for life, if for any reason you aren't willing to dedicate your life 100% to the wellbeing of your child, you shouldn't have a baby.

If a woman leads herself into pregnancy in a normal fashion then the very last option available should be to scoop that baby out of there with a hook - yet now it's being promoted as a perfectly acceptable guilt free option.

I am an atheist, I was a teenage parent and I have a disabled child - and none of these reasons were good enough to abort the thing I consensually created while the mother's health was never in doubt.

Frankly, if a woman is pregnant by mistake and feels she doesn't want to carry the baby or have the path of her whole life altered then it is absolutely **** all to do with anyone else.

Babies are not parasites. Parasites willfully and deliberately enter their host, babies don't. Parasites are usually very difficult to repel. In the main, conceiving a baby is very avoidable.

This.

With the world-wide population hitting 7 billion, we really need to slow things down. <ok>

It's legal to abort a baby up until 24 weeks. At 25 weeks a baby is capable of living outside the womb.

One week is the difference between a legal killing - and me being a murderer if I was to strangle a 25 week old baby after it was born.

I am not completely anti-abortion, I just believe the current system logically far too ill-defined - and under the guise of civilization these logically ill-defined abortions/murders happen every single day.

Yeah, but it can happen.

It's stretching reality a bit to call them babies. Babies are fully formed, it is the foetus that gets aborted and usually so early even that isn't fully formed.

I don't get flag waving anti abortionists (the fanatics), what difference does it make to them if someone else has a baby or not? They should find something to occupy their sad ****ing lives with and leave people to their own business.

I agree though that the 24 weeks should be lessened.

Kids shouldn't be brought into this world if the parents aren't ready for it. Maybe they should take precautions, but in the end it doesn't always happen. It's not fair on the kid to be forced to exist just because their parents ****ed up before they were even born.

I'm for the opposite, forced abortions unless you can prove that you can provide/care for your kid, it would also put Jeremy Kyle out of business, everyone wins <ok>

Parasite: An organism that lives in or on another organism (its host) and benefits by deriving nutrients at the host's expense.

So babies are parasites, even if they enter the body in a different way to the parasites you're thinking of. Like I say, it's the mothers body and no-one else owns her. Her choice therefore what she does with dependent beings which happen to be inside her.

I'm not denying that it takes some stupid actions to get to the stage where you need an abortion, nor am I necessarily encouraging the practice of abortion (though I do think it's the right thing to do in many circumstances). But I certainly think women should be free to do that.
