The arrival of Fernandes has considerably softened the potential blow of Charly leaving for me.
Bless him he couldn't understand a word of what Mini Lincoln said (he even tried his best year 7 Spanish) but he was all smiles. He looked happy. Genuinely gutted about this
Me to. Though I don’t get why we got Charly to sign a new contract loan him with a £40 option to buy, then sell him the following summer for around £13-£15 million if rumours are true?

Also found something saying wolves were interested this summer and potentially going to bid €15m. Transfermarkt has him at €5m. So his value to the deal is in that range. Which figure you pick is anyone’s guess. Not sure he’ll be loaned based on the reading
Sounds very much like Alcaraz wants to go as he won’t have much change of breaking into the first team under our style of play. Or maybe he just hasn’t settled and wants to go in general. It would explain going back to South America rather than a move within Europe or the U.K. (assuming there were offers)

Not that odd. It would be two Portuguese speakers arriving together. Something Charly didn’t have.
Although Charly, being Argentinian, speaks Spanish. I'm no expect on the two languages but my sister speaks both and they're very different from each other apparently.
Wasn’t there talk at the beginning of last season that the Spanish speakers had all left and Charly was struggling because of it? Caballero was one of them but I’m sure another one was mentioned as well
No, but he did have Lyanco, Caballero, Selles & Jones all here who spoke the language.
It was after those 4 left that Charly struggled.

Charles loaned out along with Larios and I think Tall Paul will be loaned again, along with ABL. Hope we keep hold of KWP as Saturday showed how good a player he is.
What would be the one position we need to concentrate on before window closes? For me it’s someone who can create chances and I hope we go all out for Clarke from Sunderland. If not, I think that’s where our loan deal will be done??

I thought 20m was the quote for him from earlier in the summer and presumably we didn’t want to go that high. I think to get another 15-20m signing we would need another sale which might not be done in time before Ipswich get there
Even if we did it would be down to the player. I think he’s guaranteed more game time at Ipswich as we seem to be switching between a 5-3-2 where he won’t have a role in the side and a 4-3-3 where he will. Ipswich go 4-2-3-1 where he will start on the left every game
There were reports much earlier in the window when we both were linked that he preferred a move to Ipswich, no idea if that is still the case
