How would people feel if that was us done for the window?,
That we'd taken a gamble by choosing not to strengthen the starting 11 at all. A gamble that may result in us having an explosive transfer window in January or next summer, but on the other hand, decreases the chances of the team excelling this season. Failure to challenge for Europe this season following a lack of spending would likely result in us waving goodbye to the likes of Isak and Guimaraes sooner, as they witness the lack of ambition and realise we're going nowhere fast.

Can’t fathom how since signing Harvey Barnes we claim not to be able to upgrade and seem to be the only team in the PL incapable of buying a player to strengthen.

I think Isak is the main concern. The guy is good enough to win major trophies and as irreplacable for us. Other players (even Gordon and Guimaraes) I don't want to lose but even if we don't sign someone and then finish 8-10th in the league and lose one of our big players as a result we should have plenty to spend next year as we're not going to be selling these players for below their values.

In my mind the worst case scenario - if the season end up being a midtable slugging match - is that phase 2 starts next summer with another manager and £150m+ to spend with a much better team/squad than Howe inherited. It's not that bad really.

I have said last season Howe would get another season at least, I am convinced since Amanda and her husband have moved on they will be considering their options after the end of this season.

Have you ever considered a career as an author?

You seem capable of coming up with fantasy after fantasy, seems a waste of your ability, really ....

I could dig out posts where people said it was all just a trick to keep prices down if you like...? Live out your fantasy.

Kelly is a first team signing. Hall is also in my opinion.

However we technically already knew we were signing him.

Im disappointed we have not fixed the RW position. That’s our weakest area with a full fit squad.

This entirely. Our CB position is certainly weak in terms of real quality (Botman + other) but we at least do have options it's just that they are injured/suspended in the main (Burn, Schar, Kelly, Lascelles) and not who you want for a top 4 push.

RW though is a much more limited area though and should be the main priority, I'm amazed it doesn't seem to be.
