I’m going to Disneyland tomorrow. Yay. Can’t wait to meet Micky and the gang.

If you get into the mouse groove, it's great fun.

I was honestly amazed at the number of adults I saw (mainly middle aged Mums, but not exclusively), who burst into tears as soon as they walked in, then proceeded to walk down Main Street crying their eyes out.

Or immediately bought some Minnie ears and regressed into childhood.

Leave your grasp on reality at the gate and you'll be fine.

Cheers Balkan. Just found a late deal with TUI who now fly direct from Manchester. I like my lake holidays as the scenery is my kind of vibe. Hopefully the service has improved as my kids aren't particularly patient souls! Only going for a few days so they should just about cope with that.

If you like that sort of thing then you need to do Slovenia. Lake bled is good. Because it gets more demanding visitors from Italy and Austria they have to cater for them but you pay for it. Macedonia and Lake Orhid get visitors mainly from that area, serbs, croats and albanians so consequently service and prices are aimed at them. Interesting that TUI are going there, they must see it as a place on the up.

Best to chomp some magic mushrooms in the car park?

Yes, I've been to Lake Bled! One of my favourite places in the world.

I know I'm a softie but that parade can certainly leave a lump in your throat!

I went to Disneyland in La Ernie when I was in my late 20’s and it was fantastic just had a feeling about it
A certain ex pro footballer from hull who lived there told me whenever he felt down he would go to Disneyland and just see the look on people’s happy faces there was a massive pick me up

Which airport are you flying to?

Thinking of going to Crete in earlyt October for 3 weeks. Anyone been and if so any recommendations.

It's a massive island, but loads of nice places and history. We were in Rethymno last month, nice place. Do your home work before hand, our transfer bus dropped some folk off a a very nice looking hotel but as we found out by the further bus travel to our hotel they were a long way from the town center and even further away from the sandy beaches.

thanks we will be renting a car. But for for an 82 year old that’s not easy to do but I have found one place that will rent to geriatrics. Did you go anywhere else than Rethymo. Thinking about splitting time between Heraklion Rethought and Ghania

No just there, we thought about hiring wheels (more likely 2 than 4) but there was enough to see and do where we were. Another option would be bus trips, collect you from the town your in a drive to and tour round another place some free time and bused back. Some like to heraklion included museum tour and guide. There was a boat trip from rethinmo to santorini (the picture post card of Greece with the blue and white buildings)
