Summerville was sold because he had a relegation clause in his contract, same as Rutter and Sinisterra. That thing about them owing a load of money, while true, wasn't as bad as it was made out originally. They have more than enough money.

Good news about Jobe, hopefully a couple of strikers will join him at the club in the coming weeks.

They failed to go up last season and there's no guarantee they'll go up this time.

I don't see them as top two so they're in the lottery again ...

... they might need a rollover if they keep spending <laugh>

I said at the start of the window that I heard he would be away. He isn't itching for it but I genuinely think we will not end the season with Clarke here.

    Hope I am wrong.

As long as it’s for the right price and with time to spend it, I’m okay with it.

Considering he's our star player, the fact he wasn't featured in any of the 3 kit launches is a bit telling.

I've spoken about selling players so much but as long as the money isn't a bad deal for us i'm pretty excited at the prospect of us having a good amount to spend on a few positions.

I think that decision will be made for us, by Clarke leaving in the near future. I don’t have a problem with that and hopefully it enables us to bring in a a couple of players.

Who it was spent on is a different conversation, the fact is it was spent.

Another contract extension announced, we are quickly moving through the important players and getting them signed up.

Is it asking to much for Neil and Clarke to follow Jobe?

Rusyn, Mayenda, Jobe, Seelt, Pembele and Aouchiche were all signed for fees last year. I’m sure there’ll be a few more too.

Garbage like, only Jobe has played regularly and even then he has featured more than he deserved to.

I think our target Mendy shows the standard we are looking at, that should say it all.

These loans are current, not historical.

61 in 130 games looks a pretty decent standard to be looking at? Paired with the fact Mbappe is fighting to keep the lad.

That's where a compromise will be found and the deal will be done (if it is) in my opinion. A load of add ons - appearances, goals, team achievements (like reaching playoffs etc)

It doesn’t have to go on signing new players to be spent but we signed Seelt, Triantis, Jobe, Hemir, Mayenda, Aouiche, Pembele Rusyn and Bishop for fees last summer. A fairly conservative estimate would say that’s around 8-10m.?
In January we also signed Mundle and Hjielde for fees approximately around 3m. I’d say we spent every penny we made and some more.
