Cumbernauld is a midden. Never been to Denny.

Nowhere comes near to Cranhill, Ruchazie or Barlornock for the ultimate in middenry though, I know they are not towns per se but they need to be mentioned when squalor is the topic of conversation.

I have to agree with DD here. Methil and Methilhill are the worst places in Scotland. Although Ballingray is something else as well. I like Dundee but Douglas and Whitfield are two of the worst schemes in Scotland.

Am no having Peterhead, the Blue Toon is picturesque, at least after a good swally it is.

Special mention to Croy as well, what a **** hole. I was on a train that broke down there once. It was like the set of 28 days later.

Girvan is actually a nice wee toon.

However, there is one loony who stomps up and down the High Street every day dressed in a Rangers top, draped in the Union Flag, carrying a bottle of buckfast and spouting obscenties as well as racist and bigoted bile.

He has the word LOYAL tattooed on his forehead.

That care in the community scheme has a lot to answer for. <ok>

I'd nominate Annan. What a grey depressing place of a dump, and that's when it's sunny. Even the people are grey and depressing. Best thing that happened to it was the Annan bypass.
