If Guehi isn't happening then just sign Chalobah or one of the Milan lads. No ****ing about, just put £30m - £40m on the table and it can be done for the weekend...

Cerki deal to Dortmund looks like its fallen through according to Athletic. Deal was for £13m. I would jump all over that one. Especially if they can get the same or more for Miggy.

Logan Costa from Toulouse available for £20m - £25m too. Both them for under £40m and bank another PSR profit this season. Would leave some serious wedge available next season with the lure of CL hopefully.

Or we could submit a 17th and final(ish) offer for Guehi. I know what’s infinitely more likely, mainly because Howe thinks Toulouse is something you blame injuries for.

The Parish interview isn't something I'd be concerned over if you watch it. Just read an article from The Mag I think it was, and it said it looks worse in print than reality. watched it and they have a point.

Yeah when watched it really wasn't bad

Don't know a thing about Howe, his interviews, the new DOF and won't pretend to know.

We have no idea what companies chat about behind closed doors

I see one thing and it's we ain't signing players who I think are good enough. So I can only comment on that and say we aren't doing enough.

I think we are at risk of blowing our entire budget on one player

Think the obsession with Premier league experience has ****ed us here, instead of recruiting elsewhere we've ****ed around offering rididiculous money for a player we still probably won't get and we are currently going to start the season significantly weaker than last season. Unless they pull something off in the next two weeks this has been an abysmal transfer window.

**yet another abysmal window.

“This window will be Transformative for the club”

John Ruddy, Lloyd Kelly, Odisseas Vlachodimos, Miodrag Pivas, William Osula with Anderson and Minteh out the door.

Admittedly there is still time but this not been transformative in a good way.

Said before we end most windows two players shy of what’s needed. We really only need two players hence why we’ll probably end up with none. It’s been over a month since we allegedly offered £60m for Olise.

We’re about to kick off the season with five goalkeepers on the books ffs!!

It’s a bad look for Mitchell, whoever is to blame. Not only is it a really mid/basic choice (like, anybody can see Guehi is ok, where’s the actual scouting?) but it appears to be a really stupid, unaffordable one that is going to make us look amateurish and ultimately smaller than Palace.

Really poor. The commercial and off-field leadership seems to be incredible, the on-field stuff is weak.

My issue is that Tobido (just gone to West Ham on loan with option/obligation) would have been an equally good purchase, probably at a lesser price and was supposedly earmarked by Mitchell earlier on in the window but rejected.

What happened to Thiaw as well? Seemed genuine interest but no word on whether or not we offered, if a contract was rejected or he lad just didn't fancy it?

Just a nonsense theory really, but perhaps the toon are just making Howe think they tried and then will sign Mitchell's target for less.

Rumours this morning that we're actually considering upping our bid yet again for Guehi. Think it would be better to just sign Chalobah for half the price if PL experience is a must, or someone high quality from overseas if we're feeling adventurous... At least then we could hopefully afford to get the much needed winger in too.

Half our problem though is that we can’t shift the deadwood.
