The government have confirmed that those locked up as part of the 'firm, full weight of the law' measures announced, will likely meet the criteria for early release in the governments other initiative. <laugh>

Biden’s industrial policy/subsidies, much admired by British Labour government, comes unstuck:

Around 40% of biggest manufacturing investments announced in first year of Biden admin delayed or paused due to deteriorating market conditions, slowing demand and lack of policy certainty in election year.

Biden’s Inflation Reduction Act and Chips and Science Act included over $400bn in tax credits, loans and grants to encourage investment in domestic cleantech and semiconductor supply chain, revitalise rustbelt and compete with China.

But out of $100bn-worth of projects, $84bn have been delayed or paused indefinitely. That state-sponsored/financed industrial transformation of US looks as far away as ever.

Today's miscreants are

Northampton: Lucy Connolly, the wife of Tory councillor Raymond Connolly, is expected to appear at Northampton Crown Court today. She's charged with one count of publishing written material to stir up racial hatred

Yorkshire: Seven people, ranging from ages 17 to 61, charged with violent disorder in relation to a riot at a hotel are set to appear at a magistrates' court

Bristol: Ardel Shapalang, 40, is accused of damaging a police vehicle during a demonstration in Bristol on 7 August

Plymouth: Guy Sullivan, 43, of Plymouth, who has admitted a charge of violent disorder, will appear at a magistrates' court

Cannock: Darren Woodley, 55, Cameron Bell, 23, and Kyle Barber, 24, all from Tamworth, have been charged with violent disorder.

Tyler Marchese, 21, of Burslem, has been charged with violent disorder and assault by beating of an emergency worker

Southampton: Lee James, 42, who was arrested at his home in Southampton, was expected to be sentenced for possessing a knuckle-duster during a demonstration. His sentencing will likely take place on Tuesday, but he's a Scummer so gets it twice.

There's a great book written by various Public Health experts who were flagging up failures within their own system.

As just one example was a heart drug pushed to a lot of people for many years, with the evidence being that it was proven that those taking it did not contract the specific disease it was for.

With a bit more research, the Health Experts pointed out that whilst this was true, it was only because the drug had killed them way before they had a chance for the initial disease to be an issue.
