We have BBD instead of Che.

But we clearly don’t have the money for a striker. Now whether that is due to these financial rules or simply not having the funds in general - who knows. I didn’t think the financial rules kicked in immediately. So the concern is the cash simply isn’t there. And / or players we want don’t want to join us
I thought BBD was predominantly left wing? I expected us to buy a focal point up front, someone to lead the line and hold up play. Armstrong isn’t great at this and Mara is an empty shirt. Maybe TP?

I don’t think it’s insulting. What’s he done to warrant that offer being insulting? I’d push to get into the low 20s but I think that would be fair enough
Didn’t we pay €15m? He’s done enough to at least go up by more than €3m if Fabio Carvalho’s value has gone up multiple times doing nothing for Liverpool

He's the one player we really don't need to sell. Given a chance he will be brilliant and increase in value. IMO.

Maybe so, but we need the money. By the time you put an extra £4-£5 million on in add ons, plus a sell on clause it’s a good deal.

They’re the kind of club that if he has a good season or two, they’ll sell to a European club for £30 - £40 million. So by putting in a 10 - 20% sell on, the deal would be very good.

But to RM he’s not our best player and I’d rather sell than do another pointless loan like we did last season.

I'd rather get rid of RM than Charlie. (Not a popular opinion but I mean it) We are completely out of creative players and whilst RM might be wedded to possession based football, after our 4th 5+ goals spanking in a row will he will have to be more pragmatic and set us up to be difficult to beat. Charlie will at least create chances. Absolute madness to sell him to buy other players who might not do anything at all. Especially given SRs track record with transfers

I'll be absolutely gutted to lose Charly. Without a doubt my favourite player to watch in our squad and by a considerable distance too.

We need some flair players who can provide the unpredictable this season. We're not gonna be passing teams to death in the premier league.

I know someone will say he doesn't suit our style and I get that but that only makes it worse for me. We'll be losing imo our most exciting player to watch to continue with a style I largely find very dull.

Especially for a ****ty fee like Flamengo offered. Easily worth 30mill plus.

He's not worth 30 mil surely? What did he do at Juve? His Prem experience is limited. I mean stranger things have happened.
I'd rather keep him by the way, and to not because we are a wedded to a style does feel odd. There is no other creativity.
