Oliver Skipp is being linked. A fringe first team player for Spurs, that would be quite the coup for Town and partnering Morsy in midfield we would have seriously strong options in all the defensive positions and a solid base for some hopefully inbound attackers to build on.

Where's this emanating from?Reliable?

I think Skipp would be a good addition. Good age, profile, strong Premier League experience, and addresses a position that needs quality and depth. McKenna would probably get a bit more out of him with regular first team football. Not the flashiest of players, but should fit into our style of play.

£15 million feels like a lot for a squad player at Spurs, but it’s possible Southampton or Leicester would bid that amount.

Man City tickets just landed. There is a new ‘Premier League stories’ short film on Amazon, TNT and Sky sports. Now it’s real lads!

I think £20m would be a bargain for this player. We are unlikely to be able to sign another young player with his ability and character with more Premier League experience in this window.

Similar to Morsy, he’s not going to be doing step overs but he can work his way out of danger and pick out a pass.

I'm with you on this one, think he'd be the perfect signing for that position - head n shoulders better than luongo

So, Sammi Szmodics fee will no doubt now go North of £50m according to the play book of Blackburn!
After last night's game and his talent once again shop windowed, he is a class act, but I imagine alpha male Ashton wont play ball.
If we're moving on, then let's hope we sign someone better than Szmodics.

It's all gone a bit quiet on the transfer front, tho I read this morning about ex L'pool player called Hunt being brought in. Deal done with Turkish club Fenerbahce.

My final word on SS, who has taken up far too much Suffolk black ink print & my ageing brain cells space this summer, if we do want him then we need to quit farting about and get it done. Szmodics is no young'un and would only get better, under McKenna.
