thats nothing compared to the peaks his club are trying to scramble up at the moment! i only realised this morning that with the exception of palace who were level on points prior to their match and reading who jumped above them the week before, their recent defeats came against teams that were below them at the time they played them!! <laugh>
 
we shouldn't really mock because of course we know exactly what they are going through but they didn't half rip into us at the time! i honestly believe a spell in league one would do them the world of good as it did for us. maybe their fans would lower expectations and realise that winning a couple of trophies 30 years ago doesn't guarantee them premier league or even championship football. not sure they'd come straight back up either...

If they did go down, and come back up again, we could always lend them our bus to show that there are no hard feelings. After all, it has been used on a fairly regular basis <whistle> <whistle>

At the moment, the only chance they've got of getting back into Europe, is if there's another war!!
 
they've become turgid. it happened to us too before we went down. every year you play the same teams... palace, coventry, barnsley etc. nothing against these clubs but its boring. its the same banter, the same players rotated amongst the same teams, the same grounds. everything grinds to a halt. a couple of trips to the likes of hartlepool, yeovil and carlisle may be just the tonic for them to get a love for their club back and have an adventure and actually have some fun at the football! of course, if you don't get out of league one its a disaster and not a risk you want to take but thankfully for us it worked like a dream! its not just ipswich - coventry have NEEDED to get relegated for some time and it finally looks like they will be put out of their misery soon. i very much doubt coventry will come back first time of asking though.
