I was going to include myself for going to Wimbledon expecting (( or at least, hoping )), to see a better performance than ....... well - most of the games this season .but ..... I left at 0-2.... The story aside, this conversation is similar to our other chat the other day about IPTV. A lot of people don't pay their TV Licence these days, I do, but I often ask myself why, because apart from when the FA cup is on or an England game, I rarely watch BBC, I never listen to Radio - I listen to Ifollow but I already subscribe to that. I have more recently thought I need to look at stuff on Iplayer to get my monies worth, but why though, shouldn't this now be a subscrition channel like all the others, because it certainly isn't free. Yes, they may make some good programmes, but why should I have to pay for someone elses viewing, not forgetting there is always the commercial side of advertising, again people might say, oh no not ads, again why should I have to pay just because the viewers won't accept a little inconvenience, afterall SKY Sports do it, they take their money twice lol, subscription and advertising.
I'm sure they could have found him a better use of his time, back home on the front line with his fellow compatriots. Not that I agree with war, but when you think young men are dying and that twat looks more than old enough to know better.

I was nearly left climbing a wall !........I definitely felt like an idiot - for bothering to continue with the conversation. Next week, Mrs A and I are visiting family in Faversham - and wish to take a granddaughter to Swallows leisure Centre, Sittingbourne - for Clip-n-Climb. I went on their website to make a booking...I selected a time & date...went to check-out----- but was left 'buffering' for ages... I decided to phone the Centre (( and quickly regretted it. )) The phone was answered by an Eastern-European sounding woman !...She said '' Yeah, it's over there - but don't break it.'' I asked '' Are you talking to me?'' She replied '' I am now - what do you want? '' I asked ''Is that Swallows Leisure Centre ?'' She replied '' Yeah.'' .....I was far from confident that I had her undivided attention - and this fear became evident far too quickly ! I tried to explain my difficulty in placing a booking online...I had barely outlined the process I had undertaken when she interrupted and said '' You can only make a booking online - we cant''.....at this point I said ''Can you please not talk over me - it's unprofessional and a little rude.'' ......The charmless lady then had the temerity to say '' Well, you talked over me.''...... I was gob-smacked with her arrogance.... I told her that I was sorry for 'talking over her' - but - it was necessary to stop her from preventing me to explain my problem - and that if she had given me just 5 more seconds I would have finished -and it would have saved a lot of nonsense that has ensued.....Her reply '' OK.'' I then explained my predicament ( without interruption. ) Woman repeated that bookings can only be made online - because they can't take payment over the phone...She then wanted to see if there was capacity for my booking - I told her that 16 places were available....She confirmed this number...She repeated the booking protocol - and told me to remember to input my membership number !!! I told the woman that I was not a member of the Centre... She said that you can't make a booking without first becoming a member.. I told her that this piece of news is not shown on their website. Woman said ''I know.'' ....I suggested that it might be useful to update their Home page...Woman then said ''Go to Membership, then scroll down - through all the other types of membership - until you come to 'Free' membership and fill that in - then you can go to bookings - but you then need to create an online account before you can confirm the booking''......((( I am half way up a wall at this stage. )))............ The woman then said ''If you have any problems give me a ring.'' I asked ''What for - what help can you giver me - which you might be able to provide NOW?''....She said '' I don't know - I could speak to my superviser and see what we could do.''... I said '' Perhaps it might have been better for me to speak to your boss in the first instance.''... Woman said'' Go to join membership - make your booking and give me a call to let me know .''..I asked ''Is there any point..If I could have made a booking I wouldn't have needed to to call you ONCE let alone twice... My (( now previous )) car insurer ! I just got my car renewal price - and wasn't surprised at the attempted robbery ! .............. [[ It has been decades since I have made a claim. ]] The new price ( which I was told was 'competitive ), was 40% MORE than last year !! I had anticipated the above nonsense - and two days ago went to my favourite comparison ( and cashback ) site.... and got like-for-like insurance for 8% less than I paid last year - and also £45 cashback on top !! ............... that's what I call competitive.
Yeah my car insurance company tried the same with me earlier in the year, so I did exactly what you did, got a cheaper insurer and cashback at the same time. Although I opted to take my cashback as a supermarket voucher, because they gave you a higher value, and I just think it all goes in and out the wallet one way or another.

So SKY Sports claim there is no extra charge for EFL matches, hmmm, but what they don't advertise is they've put an end to offers for those that subscribe through NOW TV. I've been paying £17.99 a month for 6 months, and only about just over £20 for the previous six months. Anyway, my offer finally ends at the end of September when they want me to take a £34.99 per month subscription lol....and they are not offering reductions for long term customer cancellations. Although the terms have always been 6 months, it's always been cancel at anytime. However, they have got an alternative, 12 months FIXED at £26 per month. So hang on let's work this out, the two options are £26 at a fixed 12 months even though the football season is only 9 months long, well 8 by the end of next month or £34.99 a month cancel when you want... Go on, I'll let you do the sums...
