I wonder if anyone with any time can list out the heaviest defeat for each team last season in the Premier League. Wouldn’t be surprised if all but the very top teams were done by at least 4 goals at some point

Go on then.....

Arsenal 2-0
Aston Villa 5-0
Bournemouth 6-1
Brentford 4-1
Brighton 6-1
Burnley 5-0
Chelsea 5-0
Crystal Palace 5-0
Everton 6-0
Fulham 5-1
Liverpool 3-1
Luton 5-1
Man City 2-1
Man Utd 4-0
Newcastle 4-1
Notts Forest 5-0
Sheff Utd 8-0
Tottenham 4-0
West Ham 6-0
Wolves 5-1

So only teams to not be done by 4 or more are Arsenal, Liverpool, Man City, Newcastle and..... Brentford

I went with 8+, theres always a few big thrashing a season these days and we will have one of the weakest teams with a novice manager at this level. We took a few sizeable beatings in the Championship under RM too, and we had one of the strongest set of players in the division. Important thing is that they don't happen too often and we pick up enough points around the occasional thrashing.

Didn't Sheffield United lose 8-0 to Newcastle?

Man City's biggest defeat 2-1 <laugh>.

If we can ship 5 against Leicester then we could hit double figures against a good PL team (if they want it or course, City could quite easily have done that multiple times against various opponents but they just take the foot off the gas after 4 and save energy)

If we play 3 at the back all season we will be more solid but can see scenarios where we start with a 3 and go behind and switch to system we played for majority of last season and get battered by 8+

That defeat against Leicester came about as the team put in zilch effort and not because Leicester were 5 goals superior. As for the heaviest defeat, maybe a 4-0 at Anfield!
