I sometimes turn my vpn on and most of the time I forget. Have no issues. I am only on 250mbs and mine is fine. Have no issues at all. Quality is spot on. Obviously not as good as FHD on sky package but still perfectly fine.

Been with the same provider for 7 years I think now.

Sticks lack the power a lot of the time. I recommended to jump to the fire cube and people who have done so are happier with the consistency in streams. Our cube is the single media driver for entertainment in the house and it's still going strong.

They were canny cheap again, 2 weeks ago on prime day.

Aye the issues I had was with a Firestick but I got recommended a Formuler box and it’s class.

I’m with YouFibre for broadband and had no problems since. The boxing last night was no different to watching it on Sky.

I get why people can’t be chewed when there are issues though, although I think I had more issues with Sky Q than I have with the Formuler.

Our run on firesticks, but for my tv I bought a firecube and it's made a big difference to the picture quality.

Thankfully I have stupidly fast Internet so the ultra HD channels work a treat

A lad at work got a formuler box, think it was £120, and he says the difference between that and the firestick is like night and day.

250mbs works for me. My contract was up with virgin and was expecting the big price rise as promotional offer was up. Clicked online and they offered me the same dead for another 18th months. No phone calls nowt. Clicked one button done. Couldn't believe it.

Never seen or heard of a formular box mate. The cube works well for me but if it went the journey I could be interested. Send me a link please.

Yeah I’ve found it a lot better than a stick but never used a cube.

aye that’s what we’ve got. Told 3 other people to get it then realised you get £100 per referral. Gutted.

Work in the fibre industry and tbh you won’t see any difference whatsoever between 250mb and 1gb other than downloading massive updates/files if you’re a gamer etc. I only have 1gb because I get it for nowt I probably wouldn’t bother unless the difference in price was minimal.

My 2nd generation Fire TV stick (type LY73PR) has suddenly stopped working.
All I get on screen is the 'firetv' logo and three moving dots below.
The remote appears to be ok because it's working on the volume and I've installed new batteries but it has no other effect.
I've gone through all the usual remedies of leaving TV on for 30+ minutes, changing HDMI plugs etc.. to no avail.
Any help appreciated.
If the stick needs replacing, should I replace with the same model or a newer version?
I only use it to watch footy.

Try this

Press and hold the Select and Play/Pause buttons on your remote for about five seconds, or until the Reset screen appears. Use the arrow keys on your remote to highlight the Reset option, and then press the Select button to select it.

Tried this already and nothing happened. Thanks anyway.

Try downloading 'Fire TV' on your smart phone - it works as a digital remote for your Fire Stick - just in case the issue is with the remote itself.
Also try rebooting your wifi - just in case the stick is trying to connect and failing.

I assume you'd unplugged the stick from the TV and the electricity supply? Have you tried it on an different TV?

Seems like an old stick to be fair. Might be a good chance to look for a better or newer version.
