He appears to move his feet around and attempt tricks but it never comes off. Ultimately he's predictable ! he's going to drop his should, come inside and shoot..... a shot that usually misses.... I wonder how many goals per shots he has.
He does have a good shot in him, but I'm not seeing anything else.

That's irrelevant really, this demonising of Barnes is just stupid. He was injured a lot of last season, and played well when he was fit.
Barnes has had literally one good game vs West Ham in a year and he cost 45 million pounds.
When's he going to even play ? Gordon is far superior.

I can't be arsed with formation porn anyway because we all know fine well that Howe will play the same formation as always and that Longstaff and Burn will be in no matter who the club pay money for.
Howe values the **** players that are try hards above anything else. He claims intensity is the identity but his identity is best of British potato's.

You watched a different player to me then. I think his finishing is decent. His overall play is quite frankly very average.
Drop off between Gordon and him is almost as bad as Pope to Dubravka.
Squad wise I agree, but they haven't added a 1st team player and the manager won't play them for months anyway.

To be fair I've not seen anyone on here say Murphy, Burn, Longstaff and Krafth good enough to help the club to push on.
Decent as squad cover, maybe, but none of them should be starting when we have everyone fit & available. But yes, some of them will no doubt feature once injuries & suspensions kick in.
If Howe picks them ahead of others when we have a fully fit squad then he needs his head testing.
Yeah, we need at least two more 'first team starters' each season if we want to compete on a regular basis.
As many have said, current focus is RW & CB.
There's been many people agreeing with me and vice versa these days.
So what position and ahead of who is Longstaff playing? Or are you bleating on about 3rd sub and last 10 minutes of an already won game?
