Been lucky this week, you can have a great time if the weather is good, halfway through the week tomorrow and it feels like I've had a full week off already. Couple of places to eat all booked. Been out wandering about in the sun loads.

I was thinking of you the other day when I saw the news, re the forest fires.

You been keeping track of them, so you can work around with your plans?

I did see some tracker online, might be worth searching out.

@Magdad have you been to Port Aventura water park?

Not the full hit theme park, just the water park.

The kids have started to enquire, I expect it'll be horrific tbh.

Yeah I’ve been keeping track of the California wildfires and there’s quite a few in northern Idaho and Montana.

Good shout about downloading a tracker. I’ll have a look, there must be an app for that.

I was in Sequoia national park when the rough fire was burning in 2015 and although there was no danger the air was acrid with smoke for miles. I think it took a few months to get that fire contained.

France ain't cheap any longer, most things dearer than home now, even the wine as gone up loads.
Got a bargain earlier though, 20 bottles of Leffe €21.20, less than a quid a bottle.

Not me, looking for some for the lad.
Got a couple of walks planned, and a couple of alternatives if it gets too hot

As per the DM, thanks for the offer but our day's out are done!

The train/taxi service is basically ****e, even worse than Britain.

The one yesterday was delayed by hour and 15 mins, and then packed when we got on it.

Made us late getting there so the restaurant I had planned to go to was about to close, so we went somewhere else, which was nice, but it wasn't meant to be the first thing we did.

Was a long walk there, then ate, then spent the next couple of hours schlepping round a boiling hot city.

My daughter found a Primark!, the kids then had a McDonald's, we walked back to the station, waited 45 mins for a train, which was at least on time, got back to find no taxis at the rank and them not answering the phone.

Walked the 2+ miles back along the beach, in the midst of an electrical storm, to find the site upside down when we got back.

Out German neighbours had saved our day by managing to close all our windows and secure the canopy, or we'd have been in a state.

All good today, but am going nowhere.

Yeah the public transport is ****e like. I like the place but the Spanish have to be the laziest bastards known to man. They have 2 speeds and one of them involves a siesta.

There’s an app called bolt which is like Uber which seems to get used here but again it’s hitty missy. They make out they’ll come then decide it’s time for a kip.

taxis aren’t too bad for price either but need to know where to get them.

Crazy because we had nothing. Few clouds last night and a bit of a breeze but no rain or anything

We could see it sweeping towards us off the hills and from the Barcelona direction.
It went diagonally out to sea, so wouldn't have reached you.
Or as far as Tarragona, where we'd come from.

    Baking again today!

It is indeed mate. Dangerously so now, 5 pints of estrella down and had to come inside for a bit to cool off whilst the water aerobics is on. Distinct lack of talent so far this morning <laugh>
