As the guys said Duggie, different black hole, so the cost has gone up to £4k per household now. Just to really cheer you up, they've also stolen your winter fuel payment to part pay for it lol.
Won't make any difference to me but there will be millions of Pensioners who will suffer because they are not claiming extra benefits,
22bn black hole so Labour have attacked the pensioners (again) but yet found enough money in this black hole to give the junior doctors a 22.3% increase. Lol
It's only the pensioners who don't receive financial support, the pensioner bracket has the largest amount of high income earners, why do they need a heat allowance? Someone who's pension is higher than a working persons wage shouldn't be getting a couple hundred quid for leccy.
I was thinking that yesterday, but thought, say nothing brb....I'll go get my tin hat now. Morning btw mate.
Junior doctors have been ****ed right up the arse and this pay increase doesn’t get them back in real terms to what they had pre-Cameron. It’s a fair trade-off.
Because pensioners should be looked after. They’ve paid into the system all of their lives and a few benefits here and there is the least we can do to support their retirement. Labour done this the last time when they raided the pensions and folk wonder why people go Tory as they age lol. Also not a great idea to tell the unions and its members that striking is costing the country so we’ll give them exactly what they want, regardless of this supposed black hole that Labour have found. It leaves the door wide open in the future to strike and get what you want.
Morning mate. It’s literally taken them just a few weeks to go all Labour on us. They better make the most of it whilst they have this super majority. They’ve just lost a lot of pension votes already.
I do believe pensioners should be looked after but i think they are looked after too well. The ones who are struggling we probably need to do more for but i think on the whole, they are doing too well imo. Most probably have houses so if they are really struggling they can always take equity out of that imo.
lol Looked after too well with their just over £800 a month pension. Try paying your rent, utility bills and your food shopping on that, mate.
I heard you can buy a mansion up north on that wage I hear you though, we should build some big centres for the pensioners to rent, somewhere nice and warm with some good fresh air. Ponks might know a place
Your operating under the idea that pensioners are all weak, timid old farts that can barely pay for a can of baked beans. Some of them are ****ing minted, in fact, a lot of them are. Why does a person with a large amount of disposable income need a hand out to pay for a leccy bill. Same people who would argue this are conveniently the same people who think young people have absolutely no excuse to be on the street and shouldn't be getting any help whatsoever. I know your on the wind up, cos you know the poorest pensioners are still getting the support, but still, worth posting on here. Whilst some of the money is coming from the central government to pay for these payrises, the rest is being made up by the NHS for example finding money themselves to pay for it.
In all seriousness, if the pensioner is only on his pension, dont they also get all of the benefits **** that all the poor people also get like housing allowance etc?
Hmmm...why pensioners though, regardless if you think some are minted, of all the things to go after, pensioners. Is the narrative now going to change because Labour are in power. What about all the companies and so called Russians that have **** loads of money...some pensioners might not be as low down the ladder as those on pension credits, but they are certainly way down on some people in this country...what short memories we have, in less than a month. I'm not having a go at Labour btw, let's just saying I'm questioning their judgement. I just find it hilarious the first thing they've gone for is pensioners, loving their bantz.
And them lazy bastards on benefits are being targeted as well Remember the noise the Labour supporters made every time the Tories attempted to push people off benefits and back into work? Pretty quiet now. I don’t necessarily disagree with that move from Labour but it is funny watching the Labour voters wondering what the **** they’ve voted for
