From the limited highlights I have seen, I think it's gonna be some exciting football, something different.

As others have said, and simply obvious. We just need some more quality.

Were gonna win 4-3, were gonna win 4-3!!!!!!

I watched the full match yesterday but you've summed it up pretty accurately by watching limited highlights:emoticon-0148-yes:

It certainly looks as if he has different ideas about Football ,as we know it, and I genuinely hope that at this crossroads we're in at the moment HE gets the players HE wants. He comes across as a pretty decent, likeable bloke who'll demand that his players run through brick walls for him...I like that!!

The type of player required needs to be flexible, intelligent, skilful, and more importantly, willing to throw their body on the line for the full 90 minutes. He wants players physically capable of covering every blade of grass.

At this moment in time I'm frustrated for him because I genuinely believe(IMO) that the Club as a whole thought we'd be further ahead in terms of recruitment?

'IF' we get the type of player in who fit into his 'plan',this could be a good season,'IF' we miss our targets, they choose not to come and they go to play for another Club,it could prove to be a bit of a wash out...

To me,not through any negativity,it's on a knife-edge at the moment and recruitment of decent proven players is absolutely crucial...

Worse support ever? Deluded super fan with a short memory view. Sid James Park, last game of the season, old div 2, Terry Dol*n days, Mighty Newcasle 1 Hull City 2. Attendance, under 10,000. Im more recent times perhaps the poster wasnt around then but he'd clearly forgotten when little Hull City, then bottom of the old 4th div on the back of 20 odd years of 5hite thrown at us, and of course never having won more than the 3rd div title in our history took over 6,000 to Sid James Park on a Tuseday night for a league cup game under Hateley. Plus we paid £25 a ticket in those days when it was £6 at Boothferry Park. As I remember the biggest away following seen there since a game v Brighton ? ( over to citizen)
I left a reminder in the comment section, just under 18,000 for the Dolan match, Toon forever. :emoticon-0125-mmm:

Was it really £25 a ticket? I took my youngest daughter to that game and stayed overnight in a B&B North of the Stadium(if her Mother had seen the area I landed in she'd have ****ing murdered me,it was like Beirut FFS).

Walked down in the morning past the Stadium and met Kenny Dalglish, had a quick chat and he was lovely with the young un and signed her programme.God only knows where that ended up but I suspect the little twat:emoticon-0103-cool: threw it out or flogged it...

Good memories...I may have the next days Newspaper with the match report somewhere,I'll need to have a look.

Edit...Did have.

I borrowed a Mag friend's season ticket.

Downside, I had to sit amongst the unwashed Geordies.

Upside, I spent most of the match pointing out how much noise you lot were making.

We played well. Even though we went one down early in the second half it was only in last few minutes that they got their second.

No more so than those Toon fans bragging about effectively having no life beyond football I'm sure. Glad to know they've waited all summer for a trip to Hull anyway
The rules of Hull as per the superb 2017 City of Culture presentation video,
Don't go thinking you're better than anyone else, don't go thinking anyone's better than you.

Erm....The whiff might've been me,I had a home ticket too:emoticon-0102-bigsm

Fingers crossed a new keeper is on his way as the owner stamped model we have is not fit for purpose. I don't think Walter can play his brand of football with him. Allsopp was actually very well suited to it and he's gone, when he hit long balls they were generally spot on and the defence looked settled and organised. Saying that I think we can make mid table with 4 or 5 additions but clearly that's not on the owners wish list.
