You need to stop with this obsession. Your little wink makes it seem like you think you're being clever but paying cash up front means you're denying yourself the time value of money. It's your choice how you spend the money but you need to stop thinking it's the smart option. You always reply to me on this topic and I have no idea why.

You're probably right about the social media but people do talk to one another at work, in the pub, some even read HDM! Word gets around though, always did.

I find it hard to believe that if you're keen enough to pay for a membership, you wouldn't be keeping tabs on what's going on (or not) at the club and be wondering "oh Where's that Philogene lad gone?" "Ole ole ole ole Oz... oh where is he?"

That was an example of how money in your pocket is better than money in someone else's, yes. The funny thing about examples is that it's not all-exhaustive. But this is about the fifth time you've brought it up, and you're clearly not changing your mind. As I said, spend your money how you want.

No way ST or anyone else sharing info on here should get grief if their info doesn't come off. Like others I appreciate the bits and pieces they can share - but loads of things can scupper potential deals at the last minute. Keep on sharing, please, people.

I want to know what Tan's message was about yesterday, though

I don’t think many are under any illusion about our threadbare squad. But the first few games are about putting a decent 11 together. The squad comes into play later on in the season. If we can make a few more signings before that first game, we have a fair chance of getting some results - before more come in. We don’t have nobody. We have some players who I am very happy to have at Championship level.

Also, let’s not forget other teams may still be getting used to each other.
