Obviously with a new manager it's all to play for and there are still pre season fixtures to go, but with Ballard out and LON being a permanent fixture last season, who are you expecting to start against Cardiff? I have a feeling it will be Luke and Hjelde. Now, I actually think Aji is probably ahead of Hjelde in terms what he has done at the club so far, but I think Hjelde might be closer to a like-for-like replacement when it comes to Ballard and with Cirkin back, we will want that domineering style at the back for corners and free kicks. Again, all it takes is a bad performance from Hjelde or a good one from Aji in these upcomign games but as things stand this is what it looks like for me.
I think O'Nien and Alese... but only because that's who started vs Forest. Hjelde has a chance to get ahead of Alese. Interesting reading he was playing through injury last season.
If Hjelde keeps making the impression he seems to be I wouldn't be surprised if he started. I think the safe bet is to assume it will be Alese though.
Hjelde Still only 20 I feel he is looking a lot better than his early performances last season Still not there yet
O'Nien certainly makes up in effort for his lack of defensive ability, I'm not saying he's not talented, but CB is not his natural or best position. I think the future will be Hjelde and Ballard or Anderson and Ballard.
Looking forward to the new season, not bothered who plays where, things have only got better!! Hhhaaa'wwwwaaaaayyyyyy the lads
Hjelde is only 20? Bloody hell I remember his dad scoring against us at the SOL for forest when Bridges ****ed up marking the post at a corner
