Won one more with us than Gerrard did with you mate ... you seem to be struggling with that concept <laugh>
He did not win more with you than gerrard did with Liverpool.

You should stop begging trophies players didn't win with lestah cos you only have about 4 in your history. Its bare gay and beggy

Mate ... Mahrez won 3 or 4 Premier League titles, the first of which was with us - Slippy won none, all of which were with you ... simples see <ok> <laugh>

Carrick is the player the England midfield should have been built around during the 'golden generation' and yet all we ever heard about was Lampard v Gerrard.
100% this ^
Too much tribalism in these debates
Kante has been absolutely amazing - Carrick should have been the same to England
But everyone got caught up in the daft debate
However (and if you check through my past post - I am not a massive Gerrard fan) you cannot imho knock what Gerrard did for Liverpool, fairly confident Scholes is on record quoting the players he was surrounded with compared to Gerrard in the main - he did have periods where he had quality around him.

Overall they were all amazing players

People can be as critical as they like about Southgate but lets be honest, he would have ****ing loved Carrick. He would have happily built the team around him and dropped one of Scholes/Gerrard/Lampard/Beckham to fit him in.

Ok so he'd have then played Scholes as LW and Heskey as the lone striker but still...

Is that why even some of your own fans call him Stevie Me?
And that's also nonsense. He could have gone to other clubs but didn't. Pretty much adapted to new positions and managers while still scoring goals and creating assists throughout his career. Selfish though yeah of course.

Because he would've been just another player, rather than the worshipped idol.

Another potential saviour for Everton not swayed by their incredible new stadium it seems.

https://www.skysports.com/football/...ks-as-toffees-now-explore-alternative-options

Their new stadium is the biggest risk in a basket case of risks.

If they get relegated before it starts paying for itself, which is a really possibility, they will collapse financially.

The board said this a few months ago:

"The club is continuing negotiations to secure the next stage of funding for the Bramley-Moore Dock development. Various options are being explored, however, the club has yet to secure legally binding facilities as of the date of approval of the financial statements and this facility is not yet guaranteed.

“The board are confident that funding will be secured or refinanced, However, the directors acknowledge these uncertainties may cast significant doubt on the entity’s ability to continue as a going concern.”

Which is just finance jargon for:

"We don't currently have the money, and even if we get the money, we're not sure we'll be able to afford the repayment schedule."
