Human beings cause issues everywhere they go, and have done since the beginning of history. Rushing to blame a particular group of people for the latest outbreak of disorder, without even waiting to find out what’s happened, is a bit racist, yes.

I have watched all the videos. The guy who is the dad is particularly hilarious as he explains it is not his fault that his young son dropped the baby while he and his wife were out working - and that they didn't notice the kids face had swollen like a balloon until the next morning. The kids being cheered on by their parents as they literally punch in the windows of a police car are quite amazing. The crowds cheering on as their own area is destroyed and police have glass bottles thrown at them is also not without note.

We are often told that people's cultures are sacrosanct. We must not steal from or denigrate them. Yet cultures are just learned behaviours passed down over decades, centuries or millennia. There are some cultures which exist which have no benefit to the real world - so this isn't a race thing. It is a clinging on to anti-social cultures at the detriment to those around them.

We can't even criticise travellers anymore without someone telling us it is their culture to occupy children's playgrounds, leave ****ty nappies everywhere and go drink driving for a laugh.

1. Fit in with the society at large.
2. Earn money and contribute to society through taxation.
3. Live lawfully.
4. Aspire to educate their children.

Also, these are not remotely RACE issues. They are cultural issues. And culture is not an excuse for acting inappropriately.

This is one of those things I am onboard with Os on. Why is it impossible for lefties to say: ****, yeah, there is an issue in certain groups who do not value education, who do not seek to integrate, who have come from cultures of criminality, who value women less than men.

When will our politicians focus on improving the UK instead of wasting our money?

This is where our views diverge. Britain is a popular place for immigration as we once ruled 2/3rds of the planet. Ignoring the claims that we impoverished those we colonised, the other side of that is the myth building of GREAT Britain that goes along with empire. This myth persists in much of the world.

In purely pragmatic terms, we cannot destroy the myth of the UK as a great place to live. However, we can try to invest in some of these impoverished nations at source and reduce the desire to leave and come here.

If an unemployed immigrant costs us £20k per year in this country, think how many lives we could improve in a nation where £10 per week is a decent wage. I think we need to avoid thinking in terms of isolationism as we just don't have that option. The vast majority of people who come here have the right to do so due to the Commonwealth.

Until honest conversations can be had about these topics, nothing will improve. For many years people have been cancelled for trying to discuss these topics.

Again - it’s genuinely not a race thing. If 77% of rapes were committed by people from Basingstoke, I would be wanting to know what the **** is going on in Basingstoke. Instead replace Basingstoke with foreign nationals, and suddenly we aren’t allowed to discuss it.

You and the other lefties on here seem to completely ignore reality and live in a little happy bubble where everything is great and no criminals exist.

You and I have different values Os (which have nothing to do with our ethnic or religious backgrounds, which are probably pretty similar).

But that doesn’t mean I automatically see you as a potential rapist, even though you appear to idolise convicted sex offender Donald Trump.

I don't think it's true that there's very little we can do. For example, I think one of the reasons people claim asylum in the UK is that their claim is more likely to be accepted here. Someone published data on this not long ago. I can't find it now so the exact numbers may be slightly off but I think in France they accept something like 25% of asylum claims while in the UK it's more like 75%.

The French have also shown they're prepared to ignore the ECHR. Late last year the French government wanted to deport an Uzbeki known as "MA", who is a radical Islamist and had already been refused refugee status by Estonia. The French government was told by the ECHR they couldn't deport him but they ignored the order and put him on a plane anyway.

So, if you're a rational human being who wants to claim asylum would you try your luck in France, where you have a lower chance of success and run the risk of being deported, or would you head for Calais and try to make it to the UK?
