OK 5-1 sounds crap, but I'm encouraged by a lot of things I saw there, Fener have a lot of quality in comparison to us, so it was always going to be bloody hard for the squad we have right now, but the intent, bravery, movement and tbh at times skills on show from us was really pleasing. Naivety cost us at times there, and hopefully lessons will be learned, but I'm certainly not downbeat after watching that, and Sincere Hall is edging his way to a starting place with these performances.

 

I’d probably keep two of those players who were on the pitch at the end, Fleming and Vaughan need removing from the wage bill.

 

You know what... that was great to watch... im sure the manager will be pleased irrespective of the result and a 20 minute spell, we got lost.. even at the end we were harrying with academy lads... Pandur looks good with his feet Mr Rosenior... Coyle was immense, Jones looked better with Smith alongside, Fleming a big upgrade on Jacob... Simons excellent... and what was especially pleasing, instead of going for damage limitation, they stick to the plan///

Giles just lacks that yard of pace to beat a man and I've not been particularly impressed with his crossing

The lack of transfer activity has some ready to pounce at any point.

Well if that was anything to go by, we'll definitely see goals at the MKM this season.

 

You can't get spanked like that and it not be a major concern. The most worrying thing was that Fener were in first gear, and while we looked tidy on the ball, we were wide open defensively. It was a bit of a horror show from defenders we've seen do a lot better

If Tim goes into the season playing like that, without a new squad, he'll be lucky to see November. He's going to have to be more pragmatic.

 

Didn’t concede full strength against Kasimpasa though? Let’s remember it’s pre season, lots of positives, need players quick time. Won’t be playing anyone of the quality of Dzeko, Tadic, Szymanski this season ffs
