As a token of how crazy the transfer market is these days …posters will have heard of Troy Parrott, a Spurs Reserve who we have frequently been linked to in recent years on loan.

Spurs have just sold him …. for £8.500.000

 

This kind of thing is putting me right off professional football.

I know you don't rate the women's game, but I was very disheartened to hear recently that the CAFC women's team (which missed promotion to the WSL by goal difference last season) has been gutted. Many players have joined other Clubs for big wage hikes.
Money is the be-all and end-all of professional football now.

To be honest, I'm so disillusioned with it all that I've lost all passion and interest in the Club I've always supported.
I find myself not really caring how the team gets on this coming season.
The owners, the lack of transparency, the dishonesty.
I've had enough of it.

 

We had him on loan a few seasons back - he was awful.

 

How Spurs have got £8.5 million for him I don't know. I see that Shaun Hutchinson has rejoined Millwall. We made him an offer but he wanted much more money than we offered. Not a bad player but 34.

 

Some people have no taste or class

 

Nathan Jones wanted him but your SMT wouldn't move on wages - hw would have been excellent for you if he stayed fit.

So why have you resigned him. I thought a massive Club like Millwall would be able to do better.

Will be good cover for Tanganga and Cooper - plus he's the club captain and worth his weight in gold in the dressing room.

 

If we were skint we'd be signing the freebies Luton release

 

I can think of at least seven players in our current squad who still need moving on before the season kicks off.

Edun, Tennai, Fraser, Aneke, Isted, AMB - out

Tyreece Campbell & Ness - loan out.

 

I would keep Tyreece because we have no wide options. Ness has not figured at all in the friendlies. I can’t disagree about the rest of them. I think it is proving difficult to shift them. I don’t think we will see any incomings until a few are shifted.

 

Ness to Notts County. I don’t know if it’s a loan move or on a permanent deal.

 

Charlton Athletic midfielder Scott Fraser is wanted on loan by Dundee, according to the Daily Record (live transfer blog, 18.07.24, 19:03).

Rumours that we are signing ex Luton player Dan Potts. I think he’s a free agent.
