You've spent the whole tournament taking the piss out of us and get called one mild phrase and you shout 'racism.'

Don't be silly.
I didnt take offence yday i just pointed out the term plastic paddy was racist and i stand by that.

Agreed it can be a term of endearment, but that doesn't change the fact its also often used negatively.

Like i said to peej, go to ireland and start calling everyone paddy and you'll see how well it's taken.

don’t bring me into it you thick ****.

you ****ed up and mixed up posts. Go **** yourself.

Mcmanaman had a 15 year career. Scored 54 in 401 - 0.134 goals per game.
Represented his country 44 times, scoring 4.

Mcmanaman managed 59 more appearances over those 15 years than Gazza.

Over Gazza's first 15 years (many of which he was pissed or injured during), he scored 80 in 342 appearances - 0.234 goals per game. He didn't play for Real Madrid, clearly.
Represented his country 73 times, scoring 16.

Stats aren't everything. Not by a long shot, which is why I generally air on the side of professional opinion, of which I've overwhelmingly heard that Gazza was the best many had ever played with or against. Never heard a single accolade of that ilk for Mcmanaman.

Funny that a Liverpool fan might think that Mcmanaman was better than Gazza, and Newcastle and Spurs fans would argue the opposite :emoticon-0100-smile No doubt he was a better professional, but that's about all I could give him. Gazza's career was wasted - such a weird thing to say, but I wish he'd gone to Man U and SAF got hold of him. Might have been very different.
