He was decent ... but not exceptional - Waddle won less but I'd say he was more individually gifted than McManaman - neither was close to Gascoigne in individual ability ... IMHO

Get a chance - watch the highlights - his close control and ability to beat people one on one was exceptional by any standard ...

Oh, a highlights reel.
What a way to judge a player.

When you watch a player week after week over a long time you get a better idea of how good they are. That was not the case with Gazza for me so I'm looking at his career and highlights and I'm wondering what the fuss is about tbh.

Gazza, talented play no doubt. But highlights are misleading and what did he achieve?

A few career highlights apart. Nothing to match his talent.

<doh> ... I've been singing his praises for a while ... but only located the highlights reel yesterday ... and hadn't previously seen a lot of that footage tbf - so previously only quoting from times watching him, admittedly mostly televised... but also did see him a few times in the flesh ...

What have you based your views on McManaman and Waddle on? - the days when you followed Liverpool and Newcastle home and away? <laugh>

No for being a ****.
'Listen, spread the word;

They play in France, but they are all from Angola;

How nice it is! They are going to run;

They are 'cometravas'* like f***ing Mbappé;

Their mom is Nigerian;

Their dad, Cameroonian.

But in the document ...Nationality: French.'

Not seeing any racism there tbh, unless it's the implication that white French players are ****, but everyone knows anti-white sentiment isn't counted as racism.

YouTube clips pal, that’s how people cement an opinion as fact?

Whilst race is not specifically mentioned, rather nationality, it will stand out because all the players they are talking about are black.
I dont really get what the Argies are complaining about. There are conditions that need to be met in order to represent a national team and if these players meet those conditions, then what is the problem.
I mean **** half the German team are Turkish or of Turkish descent, players like Gundogan, Ozil, Can, Tosun, but these players were born in Germany and consider themselves German. Same as players like Mbappe and Pogba were born in France and consider themselves French, despite their heritage.
Its no ones place, especially some ****ing no mark piece of **** like Enzo Fernandez to dictate who should get to play for which nation.
Even leaving any racisit undertones out of it, it was a dick move and I hope Enzo is treated as the prick that he is.

Bod still angry they paid £120 mill for that **** init

<laugh>
Whatever do you mean :bandit:

Joking aside though, if this means Chelsea sell the a-hole, even at a loss, to some team in a country where they are less bothered by this kind of behaviour, then I wont be upset <whistle>

..and that's why you're so good at cricket.
I'm not seeing this is racist, unless it's implying french white people are so **** at football they need black players to be any good.

The opposite you plum <doh>

My opinions are largely based on viewing experience and as a supporter of one of the countries lesser lights not likely to be as biased as those who have a begrudging antagonism to one or more particular clubs ...

... but you still haven't confirmed how you arrived at your basis for claiming that McManaman and Waddle were better players than Gascoigne? - don't be shy now ... <laugh>

even if it isnt racist, then what is his point?
That in order to play for france, you should be able to trace both your parents lineage back to France since the days of Charlemagne?
If that were the criteria, then Enzo, and in fact any player from the Americas, wouldnt be eligible to play for their country unless their heritage contained Native Americans. Enzo should be playing for an Iberian side then.

He is just talking utter bollocks.

It's not a political statement, it is just bantz against the team they beat to be World champions. And, as you say, it's ironic considering over 90% of the indigenous population was wiped out a few hundred years ago and they're all mainly Spanish and African descendants.
