I thought Arnold would have had the most assists/chances created, adding to his impressive England tally?
I didn’t think he was bad. I just didn’t think he really stood out, not in the way Fosse said he did anyway
I think Stones is like any other player, has good and bad days. I actually think I saw better from him for England than I do City, but maybe it's because I was paying more attention to his England performance. For City I always seem to think he's injured, not sure if that's accurate.
I don't mind Tuchel, my only cautious thought with him is he only stayed a year at Chelsea, then Bayern, I'd want some guarantees he's going to see out the course, or at least until the next World Cup is done. Oh and we shouldn't forget he also took Kane to Bayern...so will we see the same blind loyalty that people complained about with Gareth.
You mean is Jose a candidate? He was nowhere near as bad at United as was made out, and he won us competitions. Plus, he knows how to plan for opponensts. He's not that defensive minded at all, his football was a huge upgrade in van Gaal before him for instance. I doubt he'd be as pally with the players as Southgate but is that a bad thing? No way is he an FA man though.
stones is a class act in my opinion. he was doing Cruyff turns at Goodison while his own fans screamed for him to put it in row Z. pep trusts him to play a very important role, he defends and can go into MF. The setup at Coty helps, but player has to have talent. The Barnsley Beckenbauer.
Think the FA will want the new manager to keep the current system/keep that club mentality. would Jose disrupt that or build and create his siege mentality? would be interesting press conferences and would make internationals box office for TV.
