I would say it is most likely... But things still close enough with months to go that things could change. Despite Bidens mental decline his poll numbers (that I've seen anyway) haven't dropped much.
I don't know if the assassination attempt is probably going to help Trump though.

When you see SKY News tonight running a whole hour or more on Trumps election campaign, the more it makes me think of the shooting the other day and the timing of it was impeccable.

Funnily enough I did briefly read his wiki page last night, also that of his wife and that of the person who encouraged their relationship.
I had to laugh when I saw his wife was born in San Diego, I thought here we go...does Trump know about this
... the child of Indian immigrants...it got even better, when I read their relationship was encouraged by Amy Chua the child of Chinese - Filipino parents, Trump must be ecstatic.Actually his wife seemed quite nice but uncomfortable with all the attention (maybe tired), someone who really didn't want to be there but was being 'loyal' to her husband, read into that what you want. Although they've been married ten years ago and have three children, so maybe brb needs to tone down his cynicism.
Only positive I can see from this partnership is hopefully Vance can get Trump to tone it down and leave problems to him, but Pence nearly paid with his life attempting that... Trump or maybe even Vance keeping his enemies closer in this one... I haven't read his political views yet.
How I view him too. Hell say anything and take any stance that seems to go with the tide to try and get power and change his views 100% if he thinks changing them will get him power.
Impossible to know what he truly believes in.
From the minimal evidence of his flip flopping to try and get power... It appears Vance will do whatever Trump wants to get power. If a repeat of 2020 happens, Vance from what little evidence I can see of him, seems like the kind with no principles and will gladly break the law to stay in power. Hopefully I'm wrong and he does have principles.
If Trump does end democracy (not saying he will... Saying if), Vance might be the more important person. Trump could drop dead any time, he's old and morbidly obese and eats fast food and diet sodas all the time .. a heart attack is just around the corner. There might only be a few years of Trump, but Vance is young and could potentially be running the country for decades.
