The irritating thing is that we'd have given Spain much more to think about if we'd had Watkins and Palmer in from the start...

... that semi-final goal provided Southgate with the ideal excuse / opportunity to change our oh so predictable starting line-up ... no point kidding ourselves, we've played our best AFTER making changes in every single game in this tournament...

Southgate football vs football...only one winner.

England have good players but the coaching and management is below par.... need a change .. England never even had a go.

Disagree Munse - we had a go several times - but only after we went a goal behind .. and Southgate was forced into making changes ...

 

They has a 3 min spell just before Palmer scored. They did nothing mate. Just seen the stats too which I thought I'd check.

 

looks that way with his body language. But who comes in, hopefully keeps the club mentality he has developed.

even without winning, the change in setup/mentality etc has been amazing. Tough to replace.

 

Unlike some other tournaments and England failures - I can't bring myself to begrudge this Spanish success ... as painful as losing a final is - they have been a joy to watch throughout this tournament...

They don’t score enough or create enough to win anything mate.. how many goals in 90 mins? Don't think it's been many. Just not enough and the run wasn't the hardest.

They got found out early in the competition. A good group of lads, but Spain ran rings around them Tonight... they difference on level was very clear... pickford was impressive.

Release clause won’t be an issue for most clubs, it’s his wage demands. He’s already on about £200k a week at Bilbao and rumours he wants £300k to leave lol.

Change won't do anything, I can't think of a single England manager that the fans or the media have not had a go at some point during their national career and I'm going right back to the days of Alf Ramsey, even the likes of Bobby Robson went through a period of dogs abuse.

I think the bigger nations are recovering now too..The Germans and Spanish were the best two sides that I saw.
