Im still convinced the England squad don't care enough I know the FA doesn't but I'm not sure the players really care. Think they fake it a bit
Disappointing because we had a real chance ... .... but the best team won ... not only tonight... 7 games, 7 wins and playing free flowing, exciting, entertaining, football throughout ... Fair enough - well done to them
we've got the players. Southgates terrible tactics still imo. He's basically the national avram grant
saka also overrated as hell. Cucurella is such a lightweight crappy defender, can't even make the chelsea team and saka barely laid a finger on him
Always next time Not the world cup like there's no chance But perhaps a few national teams will experience bus explosions and England will get another go at the euros
One huge lesson I hope we take from this ... you don't need to 'manage the game time' of exceptional young players ... you just need to let them play - and with freedom ...
Didn’t go down very well at the pub when a few Irish kids started singing “go on home British soldiers”. Meh. Didn’t think I’d care but really thought we’d do it after the equaliser.
Saka is usually surrounded by superior foreign talent and coached by a Spaniard which inflates his generally mediocre ability
That’s more or less been my stance for the last 3-4 years. I cannot be convinced that with a squad containing attacking players such as Kane, Bellingham, Foden, Saka, Rice, Palmer, Eze, Bowen, Watkins and so on that we should be playing so conservative and defensive. Going forward one thing for me is clear though for (presumably) the new manager - build it around Palmer, that lad’s special, a lot more than I think I/ we may even credit him for.
That's Southgate done, surely. He can't possibly go the world cup and just repeat, we need to try someone else.
