So glad Acun has learned from previous mistakes of short-termism by *checks notes* targeting over-30s for the rebuild. Now, signing older players isn’t necessarily bad in itself. However, once Greaves and Philogene go, who is the next young player we can sell on for a huge profit? If you look at Sunderland, they have loads of players they could realistically sell for 8-figure fees. Patterson, Ballard, Jobe Bellingham, Clarke, Neil, Hume etc. to name a few. All young and talented players. We have two and they’re both going this summer.
Yep. Learned nothing it seems. Just kicking the can down the road. We’ll be having the same arguments on here in 12 months.
He’s a top championship striker this is absolutely the position we should be signing someone like this for.
I think from his interview with Baz today, it's pretty clear he doesn't have a clue. He wants to sign 8/9 but have 5 loans. It's crackers when we're about to receive £40m.
I'm ok with Moore and Oscar as our strikers with a young PL loanee as a third option who we are more capable of signing if he's a success than we were with Delap.
He said we’d sign 3 players in January we signed 7. Think it’s best to stop taking what Acun says word for word. He doesn’t even make the football decisions
