Was a lot of chat last season about how our style would fare in the Prem should we get there, and a fair few people (myself included) mentioned that they felt we'd be in for a few hsmmerings.

So thought I'd do a poll on what we think our heaviest defeat will be across the season. I'm going with 6.

Great minds think alike. I can't see us being resilient enough to shut up shop and limit a score if we go behind. Until we finish our recruitment, I'm going to err on the side of pessimism

I wonder if anyone with any time can list out the heaviest defeat for each team last season in the Premier League. Wouldn’t be surprised if all but the very top teams were done by at least 4 goals at some point

If we can ship 5 against Leicester then we could hit double figures against a good PL team (if they want it or course, City could quite easily have done that multiple times against various opponents but they just take the foot off the gas after 4 and save energy)

If we play 3 at the back all season we will be more solid but can see scenarios where we start with a 3 and go behind and switch to system we played for majority of last season and get battered by 8+

Quite like this negative spin on things. Can we start threads on who we think we be our worst performer of the season, how many months Stewart will be injured for and predictions for which month Martin will be sacked in?

Aribo
He won’t play, we’ve outgrown him already and should be included in a deal back to Sunderland for Clarke
November when we are on course to beat Derbys record

Votes for four seem rather optimistic seeing as we beat that twice last season when we were one of the best teams in the league.

How about, what will be our biggest win, who will be our best player and who will be top scorer. Hope our players have a different mindset
An optimistic discussion? Will never happen ! Perhaps a different thread that will hopefully get more traffic :-)
