Not many places in germany have it
So you cant escape the heat indoors
Infact
It can be hotter indoors especially at night
As concrete and other materials absorb and release the heat

A city house can be like 10c warmer at night than a house in the middle of the countryside
Due to the road and buildings absorbing the heat during the day

Christ, you’re even an arrogant, condescending prick when it comes to something as innocuous as the weather.

And yes, I would much prefer 45°C+ arid heat to 30°C humid heat. The biggest downside to higher temperature is the increased risk of sunburn but I’d still rather that than being drenched in sweat and unable to cool down.

Yes I have a feeling we'll somehow get through again. Not had a penalty yet. Probably go through 1-0 with one of those, given after a lengthy, contentious VAR check

you're right - been in Jordan at well over 40 - hot dry heat, no sweat - and been in New Orleans around Mardi Gras which was an absolute soaker - soon as I left the hotel just leaked sweat - went through three shirts a day - horrible stuff

As a player winning for your country is the best feeling

You have to be able to enjoy the highs
Now if they go and get pissed, then obv not
But playing for your country is such a rare occurence

When I went to Poland a few years ago during the summer, I had a cold shower, got dry, dressed and was drenched in sweat within minutes. It was 30ºC+ the entire time but it was the humidity that was the worst thing. We went to the region in the west and visited Szczecin and Myślibórz. Lots of big lakes near Myślibórz so the humidity was even worse. Don’t think I could hack South Florida and its swamps.

Reached 36C in Hull two years ago, a record, maftin it was.
