What will stop them is the fact thst they are not getting much better by doing it.

It's a paper excerise and eventually even clearlakes pit of cash will dry up as its wasted.

Villa are after doing a deal with the devil to help chelsea out and now have their lb

Villa got the far better deal unless kellyman turns into a superstar.

essentially signed a LB that got to the CL final last year for 16m with a kid with 1 senior appearance going the other way.

They have probably put themselves in a bit of a bind by doing it.

They got what 9? For this kid who won't be seen and paid 35 for maatsen which puts 7 a year on their amortisation numbers.

They will use him.but in the short term it doesn't help them at all with ffp

I reckon this could be used moving forwards to help balance the sheets
They are starting small to see if it gets picked up or even works imho

no Iroegbaum (sp) went for a reputed £9m to Everton and Kellyman to Chelsea is a reported £19m leaving Villa coughing up £16 as Bisc said .
