I know you´re all hoping to batter Arsenal tonight, But don´t go forget the small matter Of our impending fight, For when we visit Saturday We´ll hope to have some fun, But we know if you really play Then it could leave us numb, Although when last we were up there Not far from your fine home, We gave your cousins quite a scare In their Old Trafford dome, And though we´re hoping that the same Might just happen again, I fear that this will be a game We land in the deep end, But, nothing ventured, nothing gained I´m sure Lambert has said, His will to win has never waned Since he´s been at our head, And these occasions are the sort That we´ve worked hard to get, They´re not something that can be bought Nor easy to forget, So fear not, we´ll enjoy the day Come rain or sunny climes, And our Canary band away Will hope that our play shines, And not forget to turn their backs If, in a scoring role, We find ourselves, from an attack The sight of which, is droll, But we´ll not stay that way for long Ignoring our fine men, In case we really are on song And should just score again, Just think if we should fail to see Soon after the restart, A shot or header, gleefully Go sailing in past Hart, But we´re not that silly down here To expect that we´ll win, What would bring us the greatest cheer Is not to end up skinned, But should a miracle occur So that we hold our own, For the whole game, then I am sure Lambert would get a throne, So as always, when signing off I hope we get a game, That ebbs and flows between our profs That´s worthy of the name, And at the end, if there should be A win to either side, I hope Lambert and Mancini Both feel a sense of pride. Yours very twitchingly,
marvellous stuff as usual rbf looking forward to this one. this is what the premier league is all about and is a total bonus match for us. as long as we don't get a hiding that is! i may be in a minority, i don't know, but i for one am delighted that citeh are riding high. having been through so much heartbreak over the years and even visited league one, something we now know all about, their fans, like ours, have stuck with them at their lowest ebb and are now able to bask in their current surroundings. of all the so called 'big clubs' in this country, i think that manchester city fans have deserved a bit of success more than any other. maine road was never a happy hunting ground so lets hope the city of manchester or whatever it is now called is a better one!
Well Superman, crammed in as we are, between a Carling Cup QF with Arsenal and a Champions League match with Bayern M, one could perhaps hope that we may be overlooked, but then again that´s probably wishful thinking. Still one this though, where anything is a bonus.
Hi RBF, entertaining words beautifully crafted! Like everyone else, I'm looking forward to this match, it's one of the perks of promotion to the top tier, to be able to pit your wits against the best in the land! We know Lambert won't set out to park the bus in front of their goal, this is a real opportunity to see just how far our 'league 1' players have come! No pressure on us! Even if we get thrashed it's no more than most would have expected! Come on you Canaries, let's go for broke!
well RBF they have 2 or 3 quality players in each position, i think they will be OK with this schedule!
On paper we should run up a cricket score, but I think it will be 2-0 Man City P.S I like the way Lambo has went for young, hungry players rather than journey men on expensive wages.
