Marc Guehi; "we need to be ready to match what they bring"

I've nothing against Guehi, I think he's been decent. However, this line is exactly what is wrong with England right now! We shouldn't be trying to match what Slovakia have, they should be worried about us. We are the superior team, go and ****ing play like you can and they won't stand a chance ffs

I've nothing against him.bit he's made a horrid gaffe in every game.and has just got away with them so far.

I can see him being the final scapegoat in this tournament as someone is going to take the chances the group stages teams hadn't the talent to take.

Bellingham will get sent off to be the finale scapegoat

See first post in thread. 1 point for being eliminated in group stage 2 for round of 16, etc.

Plus bonus 10 points for predicting correctly. If you haven't had a team eliminated you won't have any points yet.

Nope

The better side but less likely to be able to **** house us. It's a good result for us.

Let's see what we do now. Should easily be in the qf.
Having watched England’s games so far, I really couldn’t predict an outcome. Can you see Southgate putting a rocket up them?

No but in the end if they muck in and don't make stupid errors they can improve just by doing so.

It does require the players, not the manager, to get together and believe they win together or fail together.

Right now half them look like as long as they are not the one in the media's target sights it's all good irrespective of result.

Agreed.

Normal england. 2-0 today.

Score 1, sit back and get the second when the lesser opponent throws too many forward.

Today's England? 1-1

I am expecting guehi to make an absolute howler at some point in this competition.

People have actually not got on his case for some reason whereas other players are getting pelted. It must be due to playing for palace and this somehow being a much higher level. He's made a series of gaffes thst he has just about got away with bit if he continues thst trend a goal is coming.

For me if the back line simply don't make an error then the clean sheet sees us putting the pen takers on in extra time at worst.

Southgate is clearly convinced it's just one position causing the entire problem then...

Yeah. Defensively we look alright (mainly cos we’re 11 behind the ball against **** opposition). But apparently 2 goals in 3 games and with TAA Gallagher & mainoo all having played there and not made any diff makes it even more laughable.

Im not sure if it’s just me but I’m yet to really see much of Mainoo that makes him stick out. He scored a couple brilliant goals, one against us etc. but in a poor united team he sort of just went by in the games I saw. Didn’t really see him standout, didn’t see him be brilliant offensively or defensively.

Im sure there’s a talent there and maybe it’s just me not having seen enough, but just not sure where he excels?

Reactions: Zanjinho
Mainoo booked in the first 7mins means he's barely going to make a tackle for the rest of the match, so another match where the midfield is too scared to do its actual job

Walker done on the inside again… this time didn’t manage to use his pace to get out of trouble.

Three on a yellow already.

Bellingham one of them, this could be his inevitable red card game [HASHTAG]#calledit[/HASHTAG]

Walkers **** so far.

Bellingham has just done his usual assault and deserved yellow then nearly got himself red by touching ref.

He's still at the ref.

Saka too narrow when space is wide.

All too slow on the ball again.its not like it needs to be as a one touch then pass game can be played if they like but the likes of walker is hiding too narrow and faced wrong way amd rice and mainoo are static.

They are playing so safe they are running back to their own 18 yard box rather than play forward in any way
