In an interview for the LimmudJewish learning festival in the United Kingdom, Keir Starmer, the leader of the Labour Party, spoke about expected political topics, such as the party’s actions on stamping out anti-Semitism in the wake of Jeremy Corbyn’s controversial tenure as leader.
But Starmer also opened up on a topic he hasn’t shared much about: how he and his Jewish wife are raising his children to recognize their Jewish faith.
Starmer, who succeeded Jeremy Corbyn earlier this year, said Monday that he was “brought up church of England, loosely, and my wife’s family are Jewish, they came out from Poland.”
Starmer, 58, and his wife, attorney Victoria Alexander, have two children, whom they are “bringing up to recognize the faith of part of their grandfather’s family, and it’s very important,” he said. “Just carving out that tradition, that bit of faith on Friday is incredibly important, because we get together and we do Zoom prayers now.”
The family belong to London’s Liberal Jewish Synagogue, which is situated in the St. John’s Wood neighborhood and belongs to the liberal movement, the more progressive of British Jewry’s two liberal strains, which includes Reform. Starmer has hinted before that Alexander’s family comes over for Friday night dinners at their London house.

Boris jumped ship after the Covid enquiry found that he broke the law and mislead parliament. He has already got a job with GB News and the Daily Mail so that figures.
Gove and Co will line their pockets doing consultancy work, using their connections in Parliament to seek out favourable conditions for their rich chums in finance and industry if they lose their seats. It what these type of people exist for, to pave the way to make money for the already wealthy and maintain the status quo for the rich.
Boris jumped ship bcos he thought he was going to lose the Uxbridge by election and his ego couldn't handle the thought of that. He's a fat blubbering coward. The irony of course is that his tory replacement won which made Bojo look an even bigger tit.

I looked at all the candidates and some were easy for me to dismiss, that being Greens and Lib Debs, I think Ed Davey of those two has made a great effort to be noticed but sadly not enough to change my mind on their past choices, and I'm not convinced those problems have gone away.
That leaves the independents, Reform and Labour...
The independents can be tempting, but I need to get the Tories out and make sure the most suitable party gets in...That is not Reform. Nothing to do with Farage's recent comments, I think I've voiced my views on the EU and NATO enough times, but there is more important issues here at stake for the UK, NHS, Schools, Housing, Cost of Living, blah blah blah - I don't feel I can trust Reform with all these things, we don't need more billions squandered.
I do have the option of not voting, but my cross is on Labour, for one reason and one reason only, I trust the integrity of Starmer even if he don't say alot. He promises nothing, but I don't want broken promises, I also trust him not to steal from us and for all those other things we want to achieve, if we get a small fraction of them from not giving money to our tory mates, then it's a start.
Once Starmer gets in, I accept he could be removed and as long as I don't see that Thornberry anywhere near the despatch box, I can live with it. If she does then I'll be stealing Pinkies bike and parking it in her backside. As for the militant fringe don't get me started on them, I hope Mick Lynch chokes on his whiskey lol
So Starmer gets loaned my vote for 5 years....ffs...
