We’re supposed to have the most exciting, young, attacking talent in the world and yet when these players play for England they look so negative with all the sideways passing and tippy-tappy. You can only conclude that that is down to the managers instructions and tactics.

Maybe everyone was petrified of picking up a knock.

That's a natural fear, but our players should have enough grit and self control to overcome it.
If they could not, it is not a good omen.

Sky Sports pundits, what a bunch of flip-floppers.
I'm no fan of Saint Gareth, but he can't win with that lot.

When he kept picking old favourites for the squad he was moaned at for not picking on form.
Now GS has finally gone out on a limb and picked some young form players he's getting criticised for not having reliable old heads in the team.

Make your minds up won't you :headbang:

Strange comments from Southgate this morning, that fans will “probably” want him to leave the role if we don’t have a good tournament <confused>

No **** Sherlock.

His sense of entitlement is one of the many grating things about him - he’s been spoon fed the most talented crop of England players in 34 years under his tenure, yet still managed to fvck things up when it mattered - twice - against Croatia in the WC semi and Italy in the Euro finals. The last WC was a massive damp squib as well.

This will be Southgate’s 4th major tournament and should definitely, 100% be his last.

Saw on the news that the Bay City Rollers have re-released "Shang-a-Lang" <laugh> :emoticon-0159-music :emoticon-0172-mooni Especially for Euro 2024.

To be fair to them it's for Charity mate :1980_boogie_down:As Smashie and Nicey would say.

An England v Germany final is 12/1 <cheers>

As a fellow knowledgeable punter, I’d be interested in @TC (Lovely Geezer) betting opinions on the Euros, although I realise he usually predicts the winner after the tournament has finished.

I've got some McEwan's heavy (7.3%) in for tonight's game. I'm watching it with an England fanatic (junior), then we're watching Spain vs Croatia tomorrow, but he'll be in the pub for the England game.

Impressed with Musiala - a potential star of the tournament.

I’m not one to glory in the discomfort of the Jocks, (<laugh>) but you’ve got to question how a side this poor have qualified.
