The Reform Party is basically two blokes making everything up as they go.

Their selection process is the kind of questionnaire you get in a woman's magazine ...

... we could end up with a Member of Parliament who's favourite colour is purple, last pet was a labrador and has a secret crush on Bill Bailey.

And the taxpayer would be forking out for an MP who was previously working in a call centre selling mobile phones.

Arent you sick of large majorities. Labour had one and were a disaster and told porkies. Tories had one and were a disaster and told porkies. This is all just rinse and repeat rubbish mate. About time we got away from a two party system, but big majorities fails to do anything but red against blue. I am genuinely depressed about where we are and where we are going. Big majorities are the worst possible situation for our country, as we keep proving. God knows what our kids have to inheret.

It feel like we're at the end of something, whether that is the two party system or something else, but it's becoming obvious to everyone that it's broken and none of the big parties can fix it.

Let’s be honest it’s the white racist vote. Throw in Islam, immigrants, anti European sentiment. His aims are to savage the Tories and take over as their leader. Their policies are idiotic.

I’d say almost as bad though was Lib Dem’s helping Tories get in. I agree though we need PR and more balance. I love the Green manifesto but it’s a vote for the Tories here if it’s not Labour cos it’s a marginal.

I don't believe he's appealing to business leaders, foreign investors or those who are looking to start businesses ...

... he's appealing to people who don't like foreigners, who probably voted to turn our backs on Europe and become a little island again.

Young white males. I genuinely think he’s a white supremacist with a socially acceptable mask. Like Trump with a more convincing mask.

There are a lot of people who think we've had enough immigration, in fact polling has consistently shown the levels we have are deeply unpopular, cries of racism just don't land like they used to, it is not white supremacist to not want your countries demographics to fundamentally change, the whole of Europe is leaning rightwards for exactly the same reasons. Perhaps try and address the problems raised directly because your slander has only made things worse for you.

One side created the environment to allow people like Farage and Tait to thrive, and it wasn't the right.

When every traditional and social media outlet tells you that white men are the enemy, young white men are going to gravitate towards people who don't tell them that.

It's not even that complicated. There's a problem and nobody else is offering a solution to it, the Tories have put it on 5 manifestos and never came through, Labour are perceived as open borders. At that point you're cornered.

That's absolutely true but Farage may well be a white supremacist ...

... he certainly struggles to hide it at times, it's not slander btw.

And, imo, the Tories have totally stoked this atmosphere with the 'common enemy rhetoric' from the likes of Patel, Braverman and Sunak ...

    ... ironically all non-white.

The Tory failure to deal with, both legal and illegal, immigration has done more to encourage Farage than everything else put together.

The public don't trust them to do anything and Farage has seen his chance.

I'm not sure I agree about Farage, but ultimately people will hold their nose and vote as they did with Biden and Trump in the states, as they did with Boris and Brexit etc

There is a significant groundswell of people who want it under control, even at the expense of economics or anything else. By the way, we've been seeing similar things in France, Germany, Sweden, Denmark etc people don't mind helping others when they are in need, but not on the back of what we've already received, rhetoric about leaving the ECHR is becoming more normal, again his is happening across Europe, in Germany they're trending "Remigration" which is basically send everybody back.

I consider you an intelligent man Smug, someone who has seen different things in the world, perhaps more than most, I hope you can see the writing on the wall also.

Everyone does mate, no one wants it out of control.

TBH I've been warned about 'the immigration crisis' all my life and I try to take a balanced view. I'd love there to be zero illegal immigrants but I'd also love it if desperate people weren't piling their families into dangerous boats or suffocating in the back of a lorry. If Farage could solve the problem I'd be all for him, I just don't believe he would make a difference. It's all very well stamping your feet but Sunak is already doing that.

Farage knows he'll never be put to test because he'll never be in a position of power.

What bothers me is that, if their solution is anything remotely close to this* I'd be absolutely horrified ....

    * "The deputy leader of Nigel Farage’s Reform UK has sparked outrage after saying Britain should ‘absolutely’ let migrants drown in the Channel.

Ben Habib, the party’s Wellingborough parliamentary candidate, said asylum seekers attempting to reach Britain in small boats should “suffer the consequences” in a widely criticised interview on Wednesday.

Just a day after a seven-year-old girl was among five migrants who died after being crushed on an overcrowded boat during an attempt to cross the English Channel, Mr Habib was questioned about the small boats issue by TalkTV’s Julia Hartley-Brewer."

So the Tories are blameless ...

    ... fair enough.

My last comment on that, you seem certain.

In 1991, White (there was no White British category) on the census was listed as 94.5%, White British/Irish was listed at 76% in 2022.

Even me posting that data from the census will be considered racist by some lunatics, because they believe the truth is racist, If an almost 20% shift in that time isn't alarming, I don't know what else I could possibly tell you. What will these figures look like when our kids and grandkids come of age?

You can hate Farage, but again, no-one else is saying anything about it, even the SNP bloke last night was saying he wants more, he wants to increase it. Madness.
