It shouldn't be this hard to appoint an exciting head coach. Go to Scandinavia and take a Kim Hellberg or a Eirik Horneland, QPR did it with Cifuentes and Aberdeen did it with Thelin. Go to a big club and take one of the assistants like Ipswich, Birmingham, Boro, Leicester. Go to Germany and take one of their young coaches like Sheff Wed did with Röhl.

How are these clubs appointing seriously exciting coaches despite some having worse squads, worse owners, worse facilities, lower budgets. It all comes back to one man, Speakman. People don't want to work with him.

He’s been here long enough to make a judgement. The last 3 transfer windows, the Beale appointment and this current mess should tell you everything you need to know.

I get folk getting frustrated but none of us know exactly what has happened but are believing what is being said by journalists. Folk have made their minds up about all these managers turning us down but we dont know that for sure.

Look the whole thing hasnt been handled well by the club but we dont know the ins n outs

Ill make judgement on the whole process once someone is announced. I know some wont be happy until KS, Dodds n proctor leave the club

Laying off here as just find we all keep going round in circles and are probably getting each other more n more wound up

Avoiding social media until we announce someone

KLD has the right intentions, building a solid base, but will not use his own money to fund the transfer kitty we need.
He holds to much faith in KS, who needs to move on.

We are at the point where none of these bits of news really mean much.clearly we weren't interested in Rosenior to begin with. It's just an incremental bit of frustration.

The club needs to take a serious look at how they are operating. Go-getters they are not.

All that industry wide goodwill about the good work being done at Sunderland is just ****ing gone,12 months on.

I have no idea how much Speakman has had to do with any of this but I think the tipping point that he just does not come back from is approaching.

As the man's might say... we need an escape goat.

Each to their own I guess but that’s me done with the club for now. Cancelling the season ticket and not going back until there’s serious changes in place. Rather save the money then invest in these ****bags
 
Who do we look too now then?

is the Cifuentes link genuine? If so I think he’s every bit as good as a rohl and would be genuinely excited by it

Lampard? Does nout for me, people will have the same concerns as they did for Rosenior, talented squad but unable to get them over the line, will be accused of being cheap but no way he comes cheap

any other suggestions? Is maric still an option?
