Need to get rid of Rashford

players like that are a distraction and usually the type to cause changing room issues due to the over inflated ego

maybe even get rid of Bruno, something ratty about that rat face

Hmmm using rodent resemblance as a criteria for moving players on ... although can't recall you being as vociferous about it when Luca Modric was at Spurs <whistle>
Think we need a Rodent Resemblance thread!

Now they've changed we need to persevere with the manager and give him a chance.
What would it take to convince you he is gash tho?
I am interested, since most United fans do seem to back him.
If your lowest league finish in PL history is not enough to convince you, what will?
Relegation?

Pretty sure the majority of United fans would have taken beating Citeh in the Cup final thereby stopping them getting another double etc over a 4th placed finish ... but I may be out of touch ... some fans seem to treat finishing in a CL place like winning a trophy ... which is bizarre if you ask me...

So he's staying then.

Would another manager coming in to better? Probably not. Its a risk either way.

Will he revive their fortunes? Probably not!

They are years behind and I think the fans/media/board will have forced him out by then.

Getting into the CL is a good thing, it brings prestige, good games, and most importantly, bundles of cash, to your club, so I get it.
Am just wondering if United fans will still back him if he finishes say 10th next season but win the carabao cup

He complained that it was down to injuries, he'll need to be more consistent in the league. Staying in the job right now doesn't mean you can't get sacked..

He wants to talk about injuries!
We had 14 players injured from our squad at one point in the final third of the season and we still managed to finish ahead of them, despite how ****e we were last season.
Yeah Poch got sacked but thats because our owners are mental and dont have a clue.
Its a strange first move from Ineos for me, I thought 100% they would want to bring in their own guy......we shall see what this brings I guess.

I like KingHotspur but he chats more shhite than me, and that takes some doing. <laugh>

They finished 8th though. For the money they’ve spent and the fact they’re Man Utd, I didn’t expect a manager to keep his job after that league campaign.

The style of football under Ten Hag isn’t great either.

I an surprised he doesn't understand Fosse's comparison. Fergie was being hounded out at one stage in those early years when we plummeted in the league.

I understand it but I don’t see Ten Hag turning Utd into title winners. Last season they were utterly dreadful in the league. Didn’t they lose the most games they’ve ever lost and have a negative goal difference? I don’t see Ten Hag turning them into title winners or even contenders tbh.

His board name has something of a delicious irony to it - Harry Hotspur, after whom Totteringham derived their name was, of course, never a king ... just a Knight - albeit one of some renown but who, unfortunately, met his end at Shrewsbury... something quite synonymous with many a Spurs cup run ever since <whistle> <laugh>

It’s KingHotspur because of Ledley King

Spurs have won plenty of cups so not sure what you mean there Fosse

Because we look into things with more detail and understanding, rather than plucking the latest ****e that someone off Twitter has just posted.

Yes, other clubs have also had injuries, but the whole back four all at once while trying to bed in a new keeper?

He made some absolutely funking enormous blunders in selection and substitutions, but I can also see where the problems lay and why they were.

I, personally, thinks he needs to run into next season with his preferred eleven and subs all available, and then see how he goes, until at least the new year.

If there are still big clanging alarms ringing, then change. It's not as if they haven't sounded out various replacements already.

If we make the progress most who've been watching expect, then he stays. In isolation, you look at the cup final and think there's a ****ing good team in there somewhere.

We need to be able to do that against opponents who won't be as set up to attack as much as City are. Breaking down well drilled defensive opposition, at home, has been an achilles heel all season.

I'm sort of mixed feelings about him.

For example, it's difficult because on one hand I would say someone like Poch when he was at Chelsea needs to sort the discipline out, then I moan at United Ten Hag don't have the players on side lol. It's a fine balance, it's a difficult job and in fairness to Ten Hag, he was only second best to Pep in England. Arsenal are null and void, because they bottled it again, their easiest chance yet, and won, well, er...nowt. Liverpool won the Micky Mouse Cup, so Ten Hag top trumped that, and the latter also got United a place in Europe, the only argument remaining is does a CL place trump an FA cup, and going on this seasons performances not a fooking chance. And as I like you, we won't mention Spurs.
