I'm impressed with the Lib Dem effort, shows what can be achieved when you haven't got a demented Swinson leading the party.
Whereas Clement Attlee was famous for his lack of charisma, yet he led the most radical, reforming government in modern British history; literally transformed the lives of working people, after the hardships of the Great Depression and the sacrifices of WWII
Tbf it's easy when you have no chance of winning and you can stand on the sidelines without any pressure and call everything as **** without the detailed scrutiny of what you're going to do about it. I thought all the smaller parties - him, the bloke from Plaid Cmwru, the MPs from the Greens and Libdems, and even the SNP all spoke well.
I agree with your point though. And people are surprised that polls show Farage "won the debate" er, lol. Look at the parties involved. You have 7, of those 5 are left leaning. The Tories are in the slums at the moment and Penny was trotted out to deal with ****ing D-Daygate. So, Farage had free reign to say whatever he wanted to appeal to the right wing viewers, he had absolutely no competition, only bland opposition. But, Farage was not the only beneficiary of that, the SNP were too. Flynn was allowed to make ridiculous claims regarding the SNPs record in Scotland, a record that is currently under extreme scrutiny and not once did anyone challenge him on stage. He was basically ignored all night because no one cares enough to call them out. The SNP benefit from that every single election. Of course, dipshits like Spurf will just go along with whatever they say anyway cos he read it on facebook.
Whole place is a waste of time. Even Snowden is ****. Luv to confirm. With the obvious exception of the trendy cafe at the beach in Swansea. Phenomenal standard of waitresses all in gym leggings.
Yeh there was one point where the host says your waiting lists are the highest and the SNP bloke talks about free prescriptions, some other stuff, then says our waiting lists are coming down And no one could be bothered to say "eh?" I'm like, hold on, what?
I went down the the coast around Llandudnow last weekend. Glorious weather, beach was concrete but otherwise alright. Nice place but literally fck all to do. Same with Anglesey. And the less said about Holyhead the better. Found it all a bit depressing tbh.
The countries an English retirement home now, even Abe agreed with me when I said it and he was well nationalist. What's there too do? What retired people like to do, cup of tea slice of cake country. Look at a nice mountain, if you're into history have a walk around a castle. That's it.
I don't know much about it tbh. My impression was that you need cities nearby these coastal places to build some attraction. For clarity I don't mean cities are better. I just felt there aren't enough to provide some variety and it felt like the whole region was in decline.
We get the politicians we deserve. https://www.mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news/british-woman-81-claims-benidorm-13075153.amp
