He's been called a few names, but Ocean Liner seems to be the most popular.
Lewin Nyatanga Our young centre half, he will get sussed out, and be dropped by DM, say some, well i still see he's in the team, and doing very well, in an unchanged back four, how do fans access him now under Derek & Doc. :)

    AD.
I christened him 'Ocean Liner' and 'Ocean Liner' he is.
He can't change the way he is - unless he knows the road to Damascus.

Protection in front (Marv and Cisse) is the main reason we're letting in less goals.

A new CH will be one, if not the first, of DM's signings.

I'm a big fan to be honest. I think he has bags of potential. You don't have to be lightening quick to play centre half effectively (Vidic and Terry spring to mind as examples) but if you can read the game well you'll be as good as anyone. Let's not forget he's still young and will have his bad days but I've seen a vast improvement in him under Del and Doc which is surprising because wasn't Millen's speciality defending!? I've been watching Lewin since he broke into the Welsh team aged 16 and he's always served his country well. Remember playing Germany in the Euro qualifiers about 3-4 years ago away and losing 1-0 to a wonder goal. He kept Klose completely out of the game which just goes to show the potential. I hope we stick by him but a new centre half in Jan is a must because beyond Lewin and Fonts it's worrying quite frankly.

Agree a CH will be DM main priority, but after keeping the championship's top scorer quite, must give LN great confidence, and he's still young enough to improve. Agree.

I agree he did ok Saturday, great ball to Adomah for his goal as well, BUT he's not who I want at CH for us.
However I don't agree he will get good enough to warrant a regular spot in a Championship team.

'but I've seen a vast improvement in him under Del and Doc' -
You haven't - with respect you're forgetting Marv and Cisse have started since the idiot Millen was sacked. Have a look back at the Barnsley goal or his first half mare at Millwall.

Let's not let a few wins cloud our judgement chaps.

I must say Cisse has been a great success, and certainly deserves his place, but i think you can say that about most every player.
But i still think LN young enough to improve, but only time will tell.

Cisse isn't playing better - he wasn't picked by Millen.Think it proves the point the set up of Cisse/Marv in CM the main reason our defence is performing better.
A few loudmouths (and me) were calling pre season for new 'Caulker'. I still am.

Don't forget Lewin is still fairly young.
I see 2 problems/areas that he needs to work on:
    1. He switches off sometimes - don't know if that is down to concentration?
    2. Needs to work on distribution - when to pass and when to stick it in Row Z
By the way - feels a bit harsh being critical of a member of a back 4 that now look solid (all be it with Marve and Ciisse sat in front of them)
