Whenever I read things like "is a lifelong Everton fan" I always want to ask the person why. Not an anti-Everton thing I'd say the same if it was Newcastle and also when I see Tom Hanks at Villa. I kind of have to support Newcastle as I'm from there but if an American says to me they support Newcastle I'd be impelled to point out that they could have picked anyone...

It's also why I'm fine with my kids supporting Liverpool (they were born there and we live near), I can't exactly try and convert them to Newcastle with a Bullseye "here's what you could have won" moment as the answer is "nothing".

Kids should follow their dad’s team regardless of all other factors. I’ll be taking no further questions at this time.

I was with you until the whole - being fine with supporting Liverpool.

Iirc you were also fine with them eating yesterday's refrigerated fried eggs.

Now this.

I think you've tortured them enough.

I see Leicester have signed a new youth player.. only 37 years old.

If you mean given him a one year extension to his contract... then yes we have - and we'll need him ... as much in the dressing room as on the pitch...

Apparently NUFC are looking to give a similar extension to their comparative - a player that has won the Golden Boot, the Top League title, the FA Cup and the Community / Charity Shield ...

Septimus Thrattleplucket has commented that he never thought to be pulling his old boots on again ... but he's game ... despite having lost one of his legs at the Somme ...<whistle>
