For playing I would prefer the round neck but for going to the game (or more likely waiting for the ballot result) I like the v-neck. Think Chaos has a problem with that as he ends up showing too much cleavage.

Will probably end up with a Castore one anyway - daughter has been getting loads of cheap/free Newcastle stuff since their sponsorship ended. Didnt realise they made all the other TAT as well (diaries, pens etc).

I just don't like v necks ...never have and never will. I wasn't expecting it so it's left me disappointed as I thought I was going to really like it based on the image mooted.... might look better in better photos, but the back looks dreadful and the material is so wafer thin it hangs on people like a sheet of tracing paper...bad fitting.

This is a better image mind.. that collar though I just can't not see it... kills it for me.... just my taste sorry....

Shorts and socks matter too.

The club makes hardly anything out of the actual shirt sales (~7.5% of the price). They make their money on the actual sponsorship deal, which is rumoured to be around £30million quid. You actually buying the shirt contributes about £7quid to the club. Better off doing what I do and buying a membership at £35 and then not going . That's what true supporters do.

Give me a couple of weeks after the shirts are released and I will be able to source you one at around £10quid. I will then use £7 of that to buy next years membership.
This is not quite true. Adidas sponsor the club 30m. To make that back they are charging higher prices for strips.

So indirectly even though the club don’t make much off each strip they do from the flat fee sponsorship.

The deal with Castore if I recall was no big fee, but Newcastle earned 50% from the sale of the shirt

I can't be the only one that finds this really weird

It's a marketing and promotional video. It get's done by large companies to whip up interests in their goods.
In the case of this one it's the renewal of a historic partnership. Historically people used to watch things in black and white, which, as it happens is the same colour of our home strip......hence the clever marketing "twist".

They have then gone around a number of historic landmarks around the area whilst again adding a more recent "marketing twist" by having players take the piss out of online meme's. Hence the "Isak walking his dog", "Shola riding the bike eating an apple", "Tindall being front and centre in Strawberry", "Keegan rant", "Ketsbaia booting boards".

I will however state for the record the only thing missing in my view is this historically famous gentleman.

Hope this clears it up <cheers>

That’s exactly what I said!

Maybe it looks better in person. It's not awful, but hardly worth all the hype and money.

Nothing will make me like any of the training gear. 90s fashion belongs in the bin.

I thought you'd like v-neck, like me, as they are more slimming. Fat git.

Not for me ... it's still quite nice the strip.... was saying last week I was fearing the 90s retro approach and unfortunately my fears have come to fruition with all the other stuff.

Yep I know I don't think I was a fan even then.... big baggy stuff with ott lines everywhere and massive logos.

You see it on the girls on high school here

Baggy jeans, low hanging, with crop tops
