nothing wrong with them controlling the narrative tonight?

For me it is. It's a drop in standards. Only time they seem to get their arse out of bed is when the standard stoops to league 2 and the PR looks bad. They seem immediate with that but not actually making progressive changes.

We are 4 or 5 down the list now. It's just ****e to be honest.

I'd be happy with Rosenior. He's a bright lad who will have learnt a lot from his time at Hull. Hull fans were not happy he was turfed out and that counts for a lot in my book.
Might find a bit tomorrow on rosenior if there’s anything going around Hull though my best bet is on holiday typically.

Rosenior is fine. He's not first choice but he's in a list of credible candidates in my opinion. He's not a League Two coach or managing and SPL minnow.

He's done well (if not spectacular) at two decent sized clubs, he's coached in the league, he's young, respected by players who worked for him and comes across very well. He's left Hull in a much better place than where he found them.

This idea that "they sacked him which means he failed" isn't so simplistic to me.

why are you assuming it’s rosenior now? Is it an “assume the worst” thing almost in self defence? So that you’re happily surprised if not?
“I’ll wait to pass judgement” is what I said. I’m not assuming anything. I see a process which has gone on for 4 months without conclusion. It doesn’t look good, but I will wait before I make any conclusion.

Quick reminder for everyone that it’s just fishpaste that’s mentioned Rosenior. He’s not been appointed.

It’s pretty mental that in a tweet saying that the two managers we didn’t want aren’t in the running, he’s managed to get everyone assuming it’s definitely rosenior

Well, if Jansen is fourth or fifth down the list and we stumble into him being our next coach then I'll be pretty pleased.

Me too but I think it will end up again with the free, head coach , UK based one.

Lads if

What was said before wasn't just a guess mate. He is well within the running. Him and another I would say.

Sorry mate, you can’t on one hand say we are 4 or 5 down the list and then in the other claim that you knew it all along.

just because fishpaste has said the most high profile out of work championship manager is under consideration.

Let me make my view clear. This appointment needs to be bang on. Rosenior is clearly a 5th choice appointment (if he was to be). We need someone to galvanise the fanbase. We’ve had months sort this out and nobody should settle for some fodder. I don’t care what anyone says, we’re Sunderland and we should start acting like it. We still can. Let’s wait and see.

No mate. Not at all. But it's just not closing and then going down and down ain't it. That's where we are not and likely to get a free out of work, young head coach.
