Several people on SKY commenting along the same lines as you, Adam Boulton one of them, saying 45 seconds was ridiculous it just meant with the interjections by the presenter more time was wasted on her.
Conservative chairman Richard Holden looks set to be parachuted into a safe seat at the last minute, against the wishes of local Tories. Two local Tory officials told the BBC Mr Holden was the only candidate offered by the national party to represent the Essex seat of Basildon and Billericay, with one saying it was a "slap in the face" for local Tories. A cabinet minister told the BBC the move had "gone down like a bucket of cold sick”. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/ckkkq4kx3l0o
I saw a reporter going round interviewing. Most were over 60's and a few generally middle-aged. Nearly all said their priority was immigration.
It produced UKIPs only MP, no? And Reform had a complete local nutjob running before and he was polling alarmingly high, like 17% even without any real campaign. Now Farage has poured in and suddenly everyones lining up to shake his hand.
Galloway won't be retaining his seat, at least, I highly doubt it. There are currently 0 MPs in the UK, they all just lost their seats.
Why is immigration a problem in Clacton, genuine question, I could understand if it was Dover, although they seem pretty tolerant in the main, but Clacton?
Why won't he be retaining his seat, it wasn't that long ago he got it, what's changed in the area he is standing?
Tbh what I don't get is why Reform gets so much air time? There are lots of independent and small parties who won't get a fraction of the look in he does. Why not have others also so we don't get the same narrative all the time.
I don't know mate. It was just a random report I caught. As a guess it's because it's Kent so still gets affected?
It's now a National Trust Reserve mate ... it's where the last of the great white sauropods go to die ...
