It's gone on long enough. Tell him to sign now or do one.

I get the whole saga is dragging on and agree that if the club have offered terms, they should also impose a deadline for agreement to be reached and if it’s not met, we should be prepared to move on.
But anyone getting on their high horse about us being used as a stepping stone and being concerned that Will Still would move on if a bigger club came along need to take a look at themselves. Unless we have suddenly become European and premier league champions, we are a stepping stone. It would inevitably mean that he’d done well with us and left us in a better position than when he came in if he’s getting offers from clubs higher up the food chain. This is how it works with managers and players the whole world over!

Should tell anyone so reluctant, if that's the case, to do one. If haven't got another option by now that's just bad planning.

I’m surprisingly calm at the moment. We don’t know for sure that still is reluctant. We don’t even know if he’s the person we are talking to at the moment.

we could be about to announce somebody else. Who knows.

it just has to be sorted this week

Players reporting back in a few weeks for pre-season aren't they?

    They'll just promote Murty.

I think whoever comes in now is going to be massively up against it. Purely because it’s been dragged out.

If it isnt Still, some of our supporters will be pissed off its our second (or third) choice. Give them something to whinge about, some of them love a good whinge

The longer this goes the more likely this is.

That would be seven months with a four month head start to end up with someone already on the staff. Absolutely untenable for Speakman if it happens.

Still, I've never seen a support mutinous on the first day of a season, so it's a new experience, looking on the bright side.

A Maric or Wicky would get a good reaction, I reckon, even at this stage.

A Rosenior probably a collective roll of the eyes but a sigh of relief that its finally over too.

A Heckingbottom would likely see demand for pitchforks at unprecedented levels.
