In some cases it is the same number yes, in some cases its more. Dodds having temporarily stepped into the head coach role has nothing to do with his ability to do with the role he was employed for originally.
This season is a probably a bit of a free hit for whoever takes over. They didn’t have a great league campaign and they’re going to playing in Iceland and the Faroe Islands on Thursday nights. Be difficult NOT to have a better season than this one tbf
Good his role originally wasnt involved in first team matters, merely individual players development. He’s had such a meteoric rise from what he was employed to do. It’s totally different to what he is accustomed to.
One small point, the ignorance on anything outside their own club is definitely not exclusive to our fanbase. I don’t think Sunderland fans are any worse or better than most for it.
This article makes an important point. When Rosenior took over, Hull weren't doing particularly well and his first move was to make them hard to beat. This is what any manager will do when going into a club under those circumstances. He did that while remaining loyal to his commitment to playing through the thirds. That's not a particularly easy thing to do- it's much easier to do that by going direct. When you go in and try to make a team hard to beat, you're not necessarily going to stick to your preferred tendencies. Pragmatism dictates that. So we possibly haven't got a fully rounded picture of Rosenior from his time at Hull. But the fact that he combined an attempt to solidify them defensively with a commitment to playing out from the back is a big plus in his favour.
Sad indictment on the state of football fandom. It's okay to not know about other teams or different individuals within football but if you know nothing, say nothing. Or do research and then form educated opinions. Don't make unsubstantiated statements.
Sorry like but people are allowed to want rid of them after the stinker of a season we’ve just had. What’s wrong with wanting to change the whole coaching team ffs?
Still isn’t the be all and end all. I’d welcome him and back him but most vouching for him ahead of others are fantasists. Failing to nail the long term target yet is a bit more problematic for me than the name Will Stiil personally speaking.
Just had a look on the hull board, scan read the thread about Rosenior leaving and the bulk of them were gutted, given they watched his team week in week out they’re probably better placed to judge him than us, no idea if it is going to be him but I’d be relaxed about it if it was
You can want whatever you like mate, it's irrelevant. Like it or not, moaning on a chat forum won't change a thing. And what if you're wrong about Dodds and Proctor as coaches. they might be better than the ones a new manager might have chosen.
Away from home they were. At home they just passed around at the back and couldn’t break teams down. I’d love to see the difference in stats of both their home and away fixtures I bet it’s astronomical.
People assume they know more than the experts in a lot of cases. They even make television programmes about what I do for a living saying the experts are wrong
Meant more the data side of things. Seemed to have loads of possession at home in games they couldn’t get over the line but they were a team who didn’t have lots of shots or seem to create too much before scoring and away from home seemed to work well. The opposite of us really.
